Following Cassixmakeup Halo Eye Tutorial!

Hi everyone,

Happy international women’s day! It’s an exciting post today because myself & Cassie from Cassixmakeup decided to do a collaboration! Such a perfect way to celebrate all the amazing women in the world!

I love Cassies’ writing, so if you haven’t checked out her blog already then I’d definitely recommend. She’s such a lovely person too!
Today I’m going to be re-creating her ‘Halo Eye Tutorial’. You can see her original post here!

She is also going to be re-creating one of my makeup looks on her blog, so definitely keep an eye for that too!

In her post, Cassie uses the Makeup Geek x MannyMUA Limited Edition palette. Since I don’t own that, I’m going to be using shadows from my own collection. So lets see how close I can get to the original look.

THE LOOK
After completing my base using the Revolution Superfruit Extract Primer (£9.99) and the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation (£15). I used the ABH dipbrow pomade (£19) on my eyebrows, as Cassie did. I used the Collection Lasting Perfection (£4.19) all over my eyelids.

Next I went into the Morphe Bronzed Mocha Palette (£19). I used the cream shade labelled ‘1’ all over my eyelid to set the concealer. Once I had done that I used a fluffy blender brush to add the shade ‘2’ in my crease. I wasn’t too precise with this. Next I used a smaller eyeshadow brush to apply the darker shade, ‘3’, onto the outer and inner corners of my eye lid – as Cassie instructed! I then went back into ‘2’ to make sure there were no harsh edges or lines. Once I was happy with the blend, I dipped into my Makeup Revolution x Soph Highlighter palette (£8). I took the palest icy highlight and added it onto the centre of my eye with my finger. I then blended the edges with a clean brush. Next I went back over ‘2’ in my crease once more.
After adding Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara (£11.99) and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (£5.99) both under my eyes and to clean up on my inner corner, I added the shade labelled ‘3’ onto my lower lash line. And some more of the highlight onto my inner corner & brow bone.
I finished my face with the Rimmel x Kate Moss Sculpting Palette (£6.99) contour shade, Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (£10) and the same highlight as I used on my eyes.
Finally I applied NYX Suede Matte Lipstick (£8) in the shade Rose The Day.

Cassie Collab

What do you think of the finished look?! I’m really happy with it! I think it looks quite similar to Cassie’s look even though I used a different palette. Of course the colours are a little different but I love the outcome. I don’t think I would have ever done this look if it wasn’t for this collab & that’s what these collabs are for!

Be sure to check out Cassie.

Thanks so much for reading,

Jazmin xx

This is the first make up collab I’ve seen and what an amazing idea. I love your finished look, the eyeshadows look quite gleamy (is that a word? It is now) which is stunning. I’m going to have to go and see how Cassie got on with your challenge now 🙂
