Blogmas day 3: The Christmas Tag!!

I’m finally doing the Christmas tag which I saw on A Beautiful Thing blog owned by Dani Jane. I thought it looked super fun and wanted to join in, so I hope you enjoy my answers!

1. What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

It’s such a hard one because I absolutely love Christmas movies!! Me and my friend Harriet spend hours watching the channel Christmas24 every year. If I have to choose just one movie I think I’d have to go with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie , which is a film I loved when I was younger (I had it on VIDEO) and it just reminds me of my childhood so I can’t help but love it!!

2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?

I don’t think I have, although I can’t remember for certain. I know there have been times it has snowed really close to Christmas but I’m not sure about the actual day.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?

Usually I spend the morning at home with my immediate family opening presents and then we go to my mum’s aunties to see some more family and exchange gifts (this used to be at my Grandma’s house) and then we go to my aunties for Christmas dinner :).

4. What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Honestly it changes every single year, but this year so far I haven’t stopped singing It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so I’ll go with that one!!

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas eve?

No not usually, I know a lot of people get new pyjamas on Christmas eve which I think is a good idea but I’ve never done that myself.

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Dasher, Dancer, Comet, Cupid, Blitzen, Rudolph, Prancer, Vixen??? Is that them all?
(googled it and I missed Donner)

7. What holiday traditions are you most looking forward to this year?

I’m not really sure. I’m just looking forward to Christmas day itself.

8. Is your tree real or fake?

I’ve never had a real tree because they are messy. Also my cat likes to climb the tree at Christmas so a real one could hurt her.

9. What is your favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

I ALWAYS get a Terry’s chocolate orange on Christmas day and I ALWAYS eat some of it for breakfast so I’d have to say that! They remind me of Christmas now, even if I have one in Summer.

10. Do you like giving or receiving gifts better?

Honestly I really like both! I like seeing people’s faces when they open something I’ve got them and making them smile. I’ve always loved buying presents, in primary school I used to buy presents for the children in Year 1(ish) when I was in Year 6. I don’t know why.. But I also like receiving gifts too, who doesn’t?

11. What’s the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

Last year my wonderful boyfriend took me to Malaga in January as my Christmas present which was so nice and was our first holiday together. I also love the stocking my parents have done for me and my sister every year, they will them with makeup bits, chocolate, stationary, etc!! Also, when I was younger (about 9 probably) I begged for a hoover for Christmas so much and my parents got me one in the end and I was made up.. I loved hooving the stairs with that thing!!

12. What would be your dream place to visit during the holidays?

I would always want to spend Christmas day in England. But I would really love to visit Germany and Poland around Christmas time as I have been to and loved both countries and think they would be amazing at Christmas.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper or do you fail miserably?

I really enjoy wrapping presents and in my head I imagine myself as being really good at it, using little elegant ribbons and stuff but in reality I’m not that good at it. Unless its a box shape, they look really messy.

14. Most memorable holiday moment?

When I think of Christmas memories I always remember being at my Grandmas house when I was younger, reaching under the big tree to read the tags on presents and handing them to the people who they belonged too. And when I found one with my own name on it I was so happy. Another thing I think of is decorating my Grandma’s tree!! I used to love it, like I would look forward to it the whole year. She’d get down her massive boxes of baubles etc and tell me which ones to put on. Everyone used to say it looked amazing, even though it probably didn’t because I was only young. My Grandma never re decorated the tree or moved the baubles around (unlike my Mum hahaha, I’ve given up on decorating the tree at home)

15. Do you make new years resolutions, do you stick to them?

I don’t tend to make them because I know I wouldn’t stick to them.

16. What makes the holidays special to you?

The whole thing just seems to magical with all the decorations and lights and everyone just seems so much happier at Christmas. The movies, music… everything!! (and the food for sure)

I’d love to read your answers if you do the Christmas tag so let me know if you do!! Hope you enjoyed my answers.
