It’s been a while since I’ve done a proper review on something and today when I was doing my makeup using the LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation I thought I should really review it as I don’t actually see many reviews on this foundation and thought this may be helpful for at least one person!
I was watching one of KathleenLights videos on youtube and noticed how amazing her skin looked, so checked the description. Seeing that it was something totally affordable I decided to give it a go! Living in the UK, I had to order this foundation online. I did so from the official LA Girl website. It was £8.99 and delivery took it up to around £11 which is super affordable. It took about 3 days to arrive and I was so happy when it did.
My first impressions where that it smelt like strong paint, so if you’re hyper sensitive to scents you might not love that about it. For me this wasn’t exactly an issue. It goes on really smoothly over my L’oreal primer, applied with a foundation brush.
The coverage is medium-high, and it’s definitely buildable without looking cakey. I was very pleased with this because I hate buying a foundation that’s meant to have a good amount of coverage to find it acts more like a BB cream (Maybelline fit me springs to mind!)
The staying power was also pretty impressive. I used the Collection lasting perfection concealer and Rimmel stay matte powder to set and didn’t have a problem with it coming off. Of course, it came off slightly throughout the day on my nose and chin but that is what I expected and cannot complain at the price!
My skin is quite normal at the moment, more leaning towards the dry end than oily and it seems perfect for my skin type. I do use powder with it so would recommend you did that too if you want to try this out.
I use the shade ‘fair’, which is probably a tad bit too dark for me, but once I’ve put my concealer on it looks fine. I was going to buy the ‘porcelain’ next time but I think ‘fair’ has grown on me and I think I may stick to that instead.
I hope you found this review helpful! If you have any questions feel free to ask 🙂
