Makeup look using NYX beauty school dropout palette

Not too long ago I did a purple makeup look using the NYX Beauty School Dropout palette (You can see that here ), which I got for my birthday.  Quite a few people really liked the last look I did so I thought it’d be a good idea to create another one. This time I chose blue tones.

Step one
I used the L’oreal infallible primer as a base for my face and then I put on a little Rimmel Wake me up concealer (ivory) under my eyes. You may already know that I tend to put a some concealer under my foundation due to my awful under eye circles. Once I had done this, I chose to use the Max Factor 3 in 1 foundation.

Step two
Next I did my eyebrows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade (medium brown). I love this pomade, I use it every day on a Morphe s25 small angled brush. This is a great brow brush as it is really small. I also like the EcoTools eyeliner brush to do brows too, if you’re looking for something you can buy in store in the UK!

Step three
First I took the shade labelled 1 on a morphe s27 brush and put it all over the lid. Next using the same brush I used the shade labelled 2 in my crease, slightly bringing it down to the outer V of my eye. Next, using a morphe s12 brush for more precision, I took the shade labelled 3 in the same areas as the last one, focusing it more into the crease to deepen it. Then using a morphe s30 brush, I took the shade labelled 4 and packed it onto the lid. Next using a morphe s2o brush I applied the shade labelled 5 onto my brow bone. Finally, using the edge of the morphe s30, I applied a small amount of the shade labelled 6 on my lower lash line.
Step four
Using my Rimmel waterproof liquid eyeliner, I did a thin wing on my eye. I then added my Eyeronic lashes in the style ‘Jasmine’, which I spoke about in my January Favourites. So take a look there if you want to know more about them! I added L’oreal volume million lashes in fatale on my lower lashes.

Step five
I used the collection lasting perfection concealer (fair) to conceal and highlight under my eyes using a morphe s4 brush. I used my Rimmel stay matte powder (peach glow) on a morphe s12 brush lightly on the areas I used concealer to set it. Then, on a morphe s13 brush I used the contour/bronze shade labelled 7 in the picture above and used it to contour with and add a bit of colour to my face. I added the blush labelled 8 in the palette to the apples of my cheeks with a real techniques blush brush. Next I used the Laura Geller baked gelato swirl illuminator (charming pink) on a morphe s26 brush to highlight my cheek bones, cupids bow and inner corner of my eye. If you want to see my review of this hightlighter, you can do so here.

Step six
Lastly I used Mac velvet teddy lipstick on lips and then added limited collection gloss in the shade blush pink (which is similar to velvet teddy lipstick) on top to create a glossy finish.

What do you think of the finished look? I really like it! Let me know if you think I should do more looks on my blog using this NYX palette.

Jazmin xx
