Makeup look using NYX Beauty School Dropout palette!

Hi everyone, if you’ve been following my posts for a while now you will probably be aware of the ongoing series I’ve been doing, which is creating looks with the NYX Beauty School dropout palette.
You can see the other looks here:

You can also see a review of the palette here.

Today I wanted to share with you the latest look I’ve created using the brown and silver eyeshadow shades in the palette. I really like this look because it’s super simple and very wearable.

Step 1 – Base: First I used the L’oreal infallible primer (£7.99) to prep my skin. Next I applied a small amount of the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer (£5.49) under my eyes to camouflage my dark circles. I find this concealer a little orangey which makes it perfect for under eyes, I use the shade Ivory. I applied this using my Real Techniques pointed foundation brush. I then chose to use Estee Lauder Double Wear (£31) for my foundation, I’m in the shade Cool Bone. I applied using a flat foundation brush.

Step 2 – Eyes: Firstly I did my eyebrows using my trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade in medium brown (£15). I used the Morphe s25. Then I went into the NYX palette. I first took the brown shade labelled 1 in the picture on a Morphe s27 brush and put it in my crease and brought it down into my outer V area. I then took the Morphe s12 brush and placed the shade labelled 2 on top of the first colour, but not bringing it up as high and sticking to my crease more closely. Once this was all blended I took the pale white/gold shimmer shade labelled 3 on a Morphe s30 and packed it all over my lid. Then on a Morphe s20 I took the shade labelled 4 and highlighted my brow bone. Once the eyeshadow was done I created a small wing using my Rimmel waterproof liquid eyeliner (£5.49). I applied the Eyeronic Lashes in the style Jasmine (£9.50) using Duo lash glue (£4.99). I then used the L’oreal false lash flutter mascara (£10.99) on my lower lash line.

Step 3 – Finishing: I used my collection lasting perfection concealer (£4.19) in the shade fair to highlight and concealer under my eyes. I used the Real Techniques pointed foundation brush for this. I set my concealer using the Rimmel stay matte pressed power (£3.99) in the shade peach glow. I applied this with the Morphe s15 brush. I took the contour shade labelled 5 on the Morphe s13 brush and used it to contour my face, under my cheek bones and the top of my forehead. I added the Milani baked blush in the shade luminoso (In the UK you can get this here for £9.10). For this I used the Real Techniques blush brush. I then applied the gold highlight shade labelled 6 with a Morphe s26 brush to my cheek bones, cupids bow and inner corner.
Finally I added MAC matte lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy (£16.50 – Have they gone up in price, didn’t they used to be £15.50??). I added a Limited edition gloss in the shade Blush Pink on top.

Here is how it turned out:
