March Favourites 2017

It’s finally the end of the March and the start of some warmer weather! I am so pleased about this and have already done some summer clothes shopping (which you will see some of in this post).

Of course, the end of a month means a favourites post – so here are the things I’ve been loving a lot this March.

Mac Pro Longwear concealer (NW15)
This is an old favourite of mine which I have re-discovered this month. I found it in my collection and decided to give it a go. Turns out it gives a perfect amount of coverage without looking cakey and without creasing up under the eye! It also highlights the area and I couldn’t be happier with this concealer. It’s taken over my Collection lasting perfection and Rimmel True Match.

Collection Lasting Perfection Foundation (Porcelain)
Whilst I have put my Collection concealer to one side for now, I’ve purchased the foundation! I tried it on my hand in the shop and loved the fact that it felt thick and not watery like some drugstore foundations. For just over £5 I couldn’t turn down trying it… and I am so glad I bought this. The coverage is super high and the finish is quite dewy which is perfect for me with my dry skin. You do have to set this though, which isn’t a problem for me personally. Unfortunately the shade range isn’t the best with Porcelain being the lightest and is only just pale enough for me to get away with.

March faves palette

Mac Amber Times Nine Palette
You may have seen my recent post showing a makeup look I created with this little palette. If not, you can check that out here.  I love how compact this palette is, it would be absolutely perfect to take away with you. The shade range can create quite a few looks which work for the day and night. The matte shades are pigmented and give a good colour pay off with no fall out. The shimmer shades need a bit of Mac Fix + but once you use that they look gorgeous. I really recommend this palette. It’s a must!

March faves brushes

Real Techniques Buffer brush
This has got to be one of my all time favourite brushes to blend out powders. If you make a mistake with your contour by using a heavy hand then just blend with this brush and honestly, you’re good to go! Recently I have really been appreciating the buffer brush this month and wanted to let you all know how good it is. I like to go over my contour, bronzer and blusher with this to blend it all in and make it sit nicely on my skin.

Morphe s13 brush
This brush is absolutely perfect to use for contour/bronzer! The shape (as you can see in the picture above) makes it super easy to be precise. I like to use a fairly big brush to contour with so this one is ideal for me. Morphe brushes in general are my go to, so if you’re looking for a new brush set then I would definitely suggest giving Morphe a try.

March faves clothes

Denim skirt – Forever 21
I don’t usually include clothes on my favourites posts but this month I thought, why not? I’ve been on the hunt for a denim skirt for a while now. I was a little anxious at first because I don’t wear skirts all that often anymore but I like denim and always think denim skirts look so lovely on other people. I decided to go for it and I bought this gorgeous one and Forever 21 for £15. I have been wearing it quite a lot this month with black tights and white shoes.

White & Black T-shirt – Forever 21
This is another summer buy that I’ve been loving this month. Honestly, I think this is the only ‘slogan’ t-shirt I own.. I find some of them kinda cringey.. but this one is super cute and when I saw it in Forever 21 for £11 I decided to buy it. It actually looks really nice with the skirt. So this is my first new outfit to take away with me on holiday this year!

So that’s it for this month, what do you think of the things that made my post this month? I look forward to reading everyone else’s March Favourites.

Jazmin xx
