Mac Amber Times Nine palette review + swatches

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I just want to apologize for the fact I haven’t been posting as often lately – I will get back to regular uploading soon, I’m just completely swamped in assignments at the minute since deadline week is veryyyyy soon. Thanks for understanding!

Recently, I posted a makeup look using the Amber Times Nine palette which went down really well and people seemed to love it. I have had this palette since Christmas and to be honest, I half forgot about it because it’s so small and got lost in the bottom of my palette bag! But I pulled it out and started playing around with it and instantly hated myself for not using it sooner!!! If you want to see the makeup look I made using this palette, you can do so here.

As you can see, the packaging is ideal! It has 9 pans in this tiny little, simple and sturdy, compact. I love it because it would be perfect to take away on holiday with you. There are plenty of neutral colours in there so you can create a full eye look using just this palette.

The shadows are of really good quality. They are pigmented and easily blendable. The shimmer shades need a bit of Mac fix + to show up the best they can. You don’t get much if any fall out when using these shadows. And for £25 for such a usable every day palette, you cannot go wrong!
These are the first shadows from Mac that I’ve ever used – I often hear people saying that the Mac shadows aren’t anything special and that you can get better palettes for cheaper. But honestly, that isn’t my experience with this one at all. I would recommend this palette to anyone who likes the look of the colours.

The first three swatches are the bottom row, the following six are in chronological order from the first one. (sorry – I ran out of arm space!!)

I hope you found this review helpful!
