Makeup look using Marks and Spencer’s eye shadow!

Hey guys,
I hope you all had a great Easter and are ready to get back to work tomorrow after the extended weekend. Today I wanted to share with you the makeup I wore last night when I went out for a few drinks for the bank holiday.

I decided to test out a little eye palette by the M&S brand, Limited Collection. I got this as a gift at Christmas time and haven’t tried it out properly since. Thankfully, considering I tried this out before going out, it turned out to be pretty good!

Step one – Base: I first primed my face using the Nivea Soft Moisturiser (£2.49). I know this technically isn’t a primer but my face has been feeling a little dry lately so I wanted to use something super moisturising rather than a silicone based primer. Once I had let that soak in a bit, I used the Collection lasting perfection foundation (£5.99). I’ve been loving this foundation recently and if you want to see my review, you can do so here. I applied this using a flat foundation brush.

Step two – Eyes: Using a Morphe s25 I took my Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in medium brown (£15). I applied a little concealer on my eye lids and then set it with a cream coloured eye shadow. I used ‘Tempera’ from the ABH Modern Renaissance palette, but any will do! Then I went into the Limited Collection eyeshadow palette. I can’t find this on the M&S website but you can get it in store, and this is a similar one for £12.
I first took the 2nd shade (pale chocolate brown) on my s27 Morphe brush. I put this in the crease and blended it out to create a perfect base there. Next, using the same brush I took the other brown shade and applied this on top, bringing it down into my outer v area too. Then I took the black shade on a s12 brush. I carefully placed this on my outer v area. I was really pleased with the matte shades in this palette, they were all pigmented, not patchy and had minimal fall out. The black was my favourite. I used the 1st shimmer shade in the palette on a Morphe s30. I packed it on my lid. This shade could have been better but it did the job.
Once this was done I used the Rimmel waterproof liquid eyeliner (£5.29) to create a small wing. I then used the Maybelline lash sensational mascara (£7.99).

Step three – Finishing: I used the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NW15 (£18) to highlight and conceal under my eyes. I set this (and the rest of my face) with the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in the shade peach glow (£3.99). I did this using the Morphe s15 brush. I then went in the with Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting palette (£6.99). I used the contour shade on a Morphe s13 brush. I applied a small amount of this to chisel my cheek bones out and also around my hairline to add some colour to my face. I used the Real Techniques Blush Brush with the Max Factor Crème Puff Blusher in the shade Lovely Pink (£8.99). This is my favourite blusher at the minute. Next, I went back into the Rimmel Sculpting palette and used the golden highlighter on a Morphe s26. I applied this to the tops of my cheek bones, my inner corner, my cupids bow and a tiny bit on the bridge of my nose.
I totally forgot to take a picture with lipstick on (sorry!), but I finished using MAC Matte lipstick in the shade Pink Plaid (£16.50).

What do you think of the finished look? I hope you all like it!
