Bloggers and Youtube made me buy it.

Hi guys,
I’ve seen a few posts flying around lately titled something along the lines of ‘Bloggers/Youtube made me buy it’ and I think it’s such a relevant post to make! There are quite a few products that I’ve bought due to someone on the internet loving it and I always think these post’s are interesting to read so I hope people enjoy mine.

Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade
God am I glad so many people raved about this on Youtube. I absolutely love this stuff and literally use it on my brows every time I do my makeup. Before buying it from Beauty Bay I was a little hesitant because I was happy with the Maybelline powder I was using so £15 for a new brow product seemed a bit stupid. However, a Youtuber called Denitslava Makeup posted an eyebrow tutorial using it and I just couldn’t say no after watching.

Dior Forever Foundation
This is my most recent purchase after seeing it be hyped up on Jaclyn Hill’s Youtube channel. I did a review on this very recently, which you can see here, if you haven’t already seen it. I do like this foundation and I am glad I took the £35 plunge into it, I think it will be perfect for Summer. I haven’t wore it enough yet to decide if I will buy it again.

Lime Crime Velvetines liquid lipstick
I saw a number of Bloggers post tutorials and makeup looks which included these liquid lipsticks and I always noticed how nice they looked on the pictures. Then, someone on Youtube (maybe Zoella) mentioned a controversy over the brand Lime Crime, honestly I can’t even remember what that was but it just sealed the deal with me purchasing one, simply so I could make my own mind up on the brand. I absolutely love this, in the shade Faded and I plan on buying a couple more colours.

L’oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara
Again, this is a recent purchase. This mascara has been HYPED in the past couple of weeks and since it’s so affordable being drugstore makeup, I thought I may as well give it a go! I was expecting great things after some of the reviews I have read on this mascara and I was totally underwhelmed when trying it. It’s an okay mascara, but it doesn’t give me the same look as Maybelline Lash Sensational or L’oreal Miss Manga. I prefer both these two. I will do a full review on this mascara soon though!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette
When this palette released last year (?), I was so desperate for it, because loads of people, both bloggers and Youtubers where creating such gorgeous looks with the palette. It wasn’t the cheapest palette but the quality is definitely there so I don’t regret the purchase at all! I used the hell out of it last year but haven’t found myself reaching for it as much in the past months.

LA Girl Pro Coverage foundation
I stupidly missed this off the picture, sorry! BUT, I bought this after watching a video by Kathleen Lights. I was that her skin looked flawless and checked the description to find that it was LA Girl, which is an affordable brand. I love this foundation, the coverage is amazing and it lasts so long on the skin. I do wish I bought the paler shade though.

Collection Lasting Perfection concealer
Zoella raves about this concealer on basically all her makeup look videos and since it’s £4.19 I took Zoella’s word for it and bought it. I have gone through a couple of these tubes and for a long time it was my favourite. I still love it for blemishes but wouldn’t really use it under my eyes anymore as it can look a bit cakey and creases easily. It’s worth it for the price tag though.

That’s it! What things have you been influenced to buy? And are you glad you did?

  1. I also bought the ABH palette because of all the enthusiast bloggers and youtubers. I am in love with the palette, I use it every single day! I actually still want to buy the collection concealer, but I never buy makeup online, so I need to visit the UK for that concealer. Loved this blogpost of you, these are always one of my faves! xo
