Makeup look using Bourjois, Eyeronic Lashes & Zoeva

Hi everyone,
Last night I was playing around with makeup before I went out and created a look I really liked. I don’t usually go for purples but ‘delicate acidity’ in the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette was calling my name, so I thought why not? I’m sure I’ll end up doing this look again. If you want to find out how to create the look below, keep on reading.
Makeup look purple

Step one – Base: After thoroughly washing and moisturising my skin, I applied my trusty L’oreal Infallible primer (£7.99). I really can’t go wrong with this primer, it’s the only one I used and I am 100% happy with it! Once this was done, I took a flat foundation brush and applied my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation (£32.50). I’m in the shade Cool Bone, if you were wondering. This is my go-to foundation for times when I really need my makeup to last and still look flawless hours and hours after applying.

Step two – Eyes: Firstly, I did my eyebrows using the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in the shade medium brown (£15). I used the Eco Tools eyeliner brush. I was thinking about uploading a post about how I do my eyebrows soon, if you want to see that then please let me know in the comments. Next I went into the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette (£18). I applied the cream shade, called ‘Bitter Start’ all over the lid using a Morphe s27. Next, using the same brush I applied a little of the second brown shade on the bottom row called ‘Substitute for Love’, this was placed in the crease. Once this was blended out, I took a Morphe s21 with the purple shade in the palette called ‘Delicate Acidity’. I put this on the outer and inner portions of my eye, leaving the middle section blank to create a spotlight effect. I took a champagne shimmer shade from the MAC Amber Times Nine palette (£25). I applied it on the middle portion of my eye using a Morphe s30 brush. Any pale shimmer shade would do here. I then decided to be risky, well risky for me.. and applied the golden shade on the bottom row, Pure Ganache, on my lower lash line using a Morphe s11. Once I was happy with the eyeshadow and blended out any edges, I went in with the Rimmel Exaggerate waterproof liquid eyeliner (£5.29) and created a thin wing. I used the Maybelline Great Lash mascara (£4.99) on my eyelashes. I only use this mascara when applying false lashes also as it doesn’t give me a lot of volume. I applied the Eyeronic Lashes in the style Ariel (£9.50). Has anyone else tried Eyeronic Lashes? If not, you really should. They’re so beautiful and so affordable and last 20-25 wears. Check out the site here. Once this was done I applied Mac In Extreme Dimension Lash mascara (£19.50) on my lower lashes. I topped the eyes off with Barry M Dazzle Dust in the shade Gold Iridescence (£4.59) on the inner corner.

Step three – Finishing: I used the Mac Pro Longwear concealer in the shade NW15 (£18) under my eyes to brighten and conceal. I also ran a little of it down my nose. I used a Morphe s4. I then set the concealed areas with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade Peach Glow (£3.99) using a real techniques contour brush. I then used the bronzer from the L’oreal Glam Bronze duo in the shade blonde harmony (£10.99). I used a Morphe s13 and bronzer and contoured my face using this. I took the highlight shade from this same L’oreal duo and applied it on my brow bone using a Morphe s11. This highlighter is very subtle and I wouldn’t choose to use it on my cheek bones, but it looks lovely on the brow bone. I then used the Milani blush in Luminoso (I got this on Amazon a while ago.. Milani isn’t available in the UK). I used a real techniques blush brush for this. Next, using a Morphe s26, I applied the Laura Geller baked gelato swirl illuminator in the shade Charming Pink (£21) on my cheek bones, on the bridge and tip of my rose and on my cupids bow. Finally I used Bourjois Velvet rouge edition liquid lipstick in the shade Don’t Pink Of It (£8.99). I hadn’t used this lipstick in a long time, I never used to like the mousse type formula but after wearing it yesterday, I fell back in love with it.
