Is it worth the hype? – L’oreal Miss Baby Roll mascara review

So, you’ve all probably heard of the (relatively) new ‘Miss Baby Roll’ mascara by L’oreal. So many bloggers, youtubers, friends, have been raving about this mascara lately and since I love the ‘Miss Manga’ mascara from L’oreal, I thought it was something I should definitely try out!

I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been using it a lot so I’ve got a good idea now of how it preforms, so I thought I’d do a full review of this mascara as I’m quite sure some of you have been thinking of trying it out, given all the great reviews!

This mascara claims ‘mega volume, curl and hold’, and it comes in black (& black waterproof), indigo, teal and lilac’. Each costs £7.99 and can be purchased from Boots and Superdrug. I got mine from the Superdrug website.
As you can see, the packaging is super cute and sleek. I have the waterproof black version because I just prefer waterproof as I find they don’t smudge as much.

The applicator has bristles running around the wand to help curl the lash. I think the wand looks pretty unique and I was super excited to try it.
The mascara is evenly dispersed on the lashes and does curl them a little. However, on the whole I am really disappointed with this mascara! I think you can get much better ones from the drugstore, and even from L’oreal!
The lashes appear straggley when the mascara has been applied. You need at least two coats as the wand doesn’t pick up enough product. My lashes clump together, even with just a little of the product applied. The wand doesn’t separate them at all. One positive about the mascara is that it doesn’t crumble or smudge.

Pro’s
– Cute packaging
– Affordable
– Doesn’t crumble or smudge

Con’s
– Clumps lashes
– Doesn’t add much volume
– Wand doesn’t pick up much product
– Makes lashes look straggley

If you’re looking for a new affordable mascara, I’d recommend Maybelline Lash Sensational, L’oreal Miss Manga or L’oreal fatale.

If you’ve tried this mascara, let me know what you think of it in the comments below!

Ahh, I hate it when you think a mascara has it all, but turns out to be a total disaster. I think the ‘brush’ of the mascara looks really unique and I would actually love to try it out as well. Maybe it will work for my lashes? (side note: my lashes are really weird, I have only found 1 mascara yet that works with them) Thank you for your opinion on this mascara and have a nice week girl! xo

I haven’t spotted this mascara yet! I wonder if it is not yet available in the states. My lashes clump easily and do not hold a curl easily. Will probably skip on this one. Thanks for the review! xx

Maybe it hasn’t reached the US then yet! I’m sure it will soon! Thanks for checking this out 🙂 x
