May Favourites 2017

Hi everyone,

It’s favourites time again! Yay! I hope you all had a lovely & happy May. It’s been sooo sunny here in the UK this month so I’ve really enjoyed taking some time to relax and soak up the heat. I’ve managed to try out a few new products this month that I’ve ended up loving and rediscovered a couple old faves too. So just keep reading.

L’oreal Glam Bronze duo in Blonde Harmony
I bought this little bronzer and highlighter duo on sophdoesnails recommendation. There were two shades and I opted for the lighter ‘blonde harmony’ one. The bronzer is now one of my favourites and has been my number one go to all month. It goes on super smoothly, blends out perfectly and I don’t find it orange or patchy! I couldn’t ask for more from a drugstore bronzer. The highlighter is really subtle and I wouldn’t really use it on my cheek bones as I want something that pops a little more… however I have found it absolutely ideal to use on the brow bone. This duo cost me £10.99 I think, I can’t find it on the Superdrug or Boots website at the minute so I hope they’re not discontinuing it… Don’t do this to me L’oreal.

Real Techniques contour brush
I’ve heard a lot of people talk about this brush, I think Zoella has mentioned it a couple of times in the past too. It’s perfect for setting your under eyes with pressed powder or applying blush. I need to get another one so I can have one for each of these things.. I’m finding myself washing it every couple of days lately so I can use it for both. It’s soft and fluffy which makes product apply evening to the face.

Natural Collection vanilla lipgloss
Please don’t judge me for the colour of this lipgloss.. Yes, it is meant to be clear but since I have been wearing it over lipsticks, it’s changed colour. However, I really love the shine this gloss gives my lips. It isn’t sticky at all and the shine lasts for so long. It’s also super affordable at £1.99!!! I have been specially loving it over Kat Von D Lolita and Lime Crime Bleached.. which I will get into now.

Lime Crime Velvetines liquid lipstick, Bleached
Lime Crime make some of the best liquid lipsticks that I have tried. They are transfer proof, not too drying and look beautiful. I have been wearing the shade Bleached a lot this month which is a bright yet muted pale pink, which is perfect for the Summer months.

Nivea Q10 firming body lotion
This lotion has been my life this month, I swear! I have been putting it on my thighs every day and they now feel so so so smooth, like baby skin. I do feel that it has firmed them a certain amount too which I wasn’t really expecting because how can a lotion firm my thigh? But I have seen a small difference, nothing major though. I will continue to use it just for the smoothness and also the fresh scent.

Superdrug Vitamin E hydrating mist
I don’t entirely know the intended purpose of this spray, maybe just to use on your face if you get too hot? Or maybe as a toner? I personally have been spritzing it on my face after I’ve done my makeup. It doesn’t extend the wear of my makeup, nor was I expecting it too. But I feel that it makes my makeup look nicer and more ‘skin like’ if that makes sense? Having dry skin, sometimes powders can look too powdery on my face but this spray sorts it out no problem.

That’s it for my favourites this month! Thanks for reading

Jazmin xx
