My bedtime routine

Hi everyone,

Today I wanted to create a post for you all about my bedtime routine! I don’t know if everyone has a winding down/relaxing routine that they do every night before bed, but I personally love having one. It’s so important to me to get at least 8 hours every night to recharge, otherwise my body and brain can’t function properly the next day. These are the things that help me get my beauty sleep EVERY night:

Skin Care
When it’s approaching evening, I like to take any makeup off that I might have on and thoroughly clean my face. If you’re anything like me, you just can’t wind down and relax with a face full of makeup. The products I use every single night are: Johnsons makeup be gone wipes, Superdrug foaming face wash, Superdrug creamy cleanser, Nivea Micellar Water, Lush breath of fresh air toner and Nivea soft moisturiser. Having a fresh face really puts me in such a positive mind set and completely ready to relax.

Surroundings
At night I usually light candles around the room for a super cosy atmosphere. The scent makes me feel really good and zen.
I also make sure my room is tidy and clean before getting into bed. I’m one of those people who can’t relax if the rooms a mess. A tidy room is a tidy mind!!

Entertainment & Refreshment
Once I’ve sorted my face and my room out, I like to either watch some YouTube videos on my Ipad or read a chapter of my book to clear my head of the day and spend some time for just me. While I do this I’ll usually have a cup of fruit or herbal tea, my top choice at the minute is the Pukka Detox tea. If I’m feeling hungry I might have a little snack too, such as a cereal bar.. although we’re not ideally meant to eat late on, sometimes I just can’t help myself.

Detox

A special ingredient for bedtime
I know a lot of people enjoy pillow sprays to help create a tranquil atmosphere before bed and I have dabbled in them myself. However, my go to product is Champneys Heavenly Days Sleep temple balm! Even thinking about it makes me feel sleepy. It’s the perfect final step before climbing into bed for a good nights sleep. You can purchase the Champneys temple balm here for £6, I really recommend it!

I’d also really recommend a Leesa mattress. They are super comfortable and help me drop straight off to sleep. Another bonus is that for every 10 sold they’ll donate a mattress to a homeless shelter. Check them out Here
