Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer review

Hi everyone,

I had been meaning to pick up the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer for quite some time now, after reading countless positive reviews and hearing so many recommendations. Not long back, whilst having a little browse in my local Boots, I saw the concealer at the Bourjois stand and remembered that I really had to pick it up! So I decided to get the shade 01 Ivory, which I believe is the palest shade.

A bit of background info
I’ve always struggled with finding good concealers as I have dark circles under my eyes so need a decent amount of coverage. Yet my eyes are fairly deep set and I have a couple of fine lines underneath so I find that product creases often in this area. On top of that, my skin is dry so I need something hydrating.
My usual ‘go to’ is MAC’s pro longwear concealer, however it is a little pricey for every day use and would prefer to just use this in the evenings or for special occasions. Rimmel’s Wake me up concealer has always been my drugstore go to. It creases a little, even when set, but it gives me the coverage without being super cakey and honestly, it’s just the best I’ve tried from the drugstore… I dabbled in Collection Lasting Perfection and think this one is okay for blemishes, but I find it too cakey for under my eyes. So what about this Bourjois one?

My review
I was a little sceptical about this concealer despite the glowing reviews.. maybe that’s why it’s taken me so long to actually purchase it. BUT I am so pleased I took the plunge because this concealer is absolutely ideal for me and very affordable at £7.99! I have wore it both under my eyes to concealer and highlight, and on blemishes.

I would say that the coverage is medium and the consistency is pretty thick. It is very blendable though, so the thickness of it shouldn’t worry you. The shade Ivory is great for me and I have a pale skin tone. If you are VERY fair it could be a hint too dark for you, but you’d have to be super super pale.

The concealer is very hydrating and glowy so perfect for highlighting under the eyes and in other areas of the face. If you don’t set it with any powder it may crease a little (not as much as the Collection Lasting Perfection one though). I tend to add a small amount of powder just right under my eyes and leave the rest as it is. I have been wearing this in the hot weather we have been having in England lately and it has performed excellently and lasted on the skin very well.

The smell is very fruity, as is with a lot of Bourjois products. I personally love this and want the smell to linger forever! However if you are sensitive to smells you might not like this rather strong scent.

All in all I am so happy with this purchase and will continue to use it!

Pros
– Medium coverage which covers darkness and redness
– Hydrating and glowy so perfect for highlighting
– Blendable
– Lasts on the skin
– Smells incredible
– Affordable

Cons
– The smell could bother some people
– Creases a little if you don’t set it, though this is minimal

Have you tried this concealer? Would you give it a go? Let me know I’d love to know your thoughts!

Jazmin xx

This sounds like an amazing affordable concealer! I also struggle with dark circles so I need something with decent coverage. If this brand was easier to get ahold of in the states I would definitely be picking it up! xx
