Hi guys,
You likely already know that I’m typically a full coverage kind of girl. Not because my skin is particularly blemished or red, but just because I like feeling completely done up when I go to the trouble of doing my makeup.
However, before I went on holiday this summer, I went on the hunt to find a low – medium coverage foundation or BB cream. I didn’t want something that would be heavy on my face since I’d be wearing it every day in the sun.
I initially planned on picking up the BB Cream by the brand Seventeen since it seems to have great reviews, but with that being sold out in my local Boots, I had to re-think! I stumbled on the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream. I hadn’t heard of this product before but the claims drew me in and after trying the tester on the back of my hand, I was sold.
Claims
– Anti-fatigue
– Anti-redness
– Anti-dark spots
– Illuminates complexion
– Smooth skin
– 24hr hydration
– SPF 15
Review
When I was younger, before I got into wearing a lot of makeup, I used to use BB and CC creams. And honestly, I thought they were rubbish! They didn’t cover ANYTHING at all and they came off super fast. So going to try something again, I was a little nervous. However, I am totally impressed!
I would say that the coverage is definitely light but you can probably get medium, depending on how much you use. It is easy to apply with either a brush or your fingers. I usually apply with my fingers and then finish blending out with a brush. The finish is quite dewy which is perfect for my dry skin, keeping it hydrated. It evens out my complexion, covering any redness pretty well for a CC cream. I add a little concealer on any spots and under my eyes, but this isn’t particularly necessary if you’re looking for that low coverage no makeup look.
There are four shades, Ivory, Light Beige, Rose Beige and Bronze. I am in the shade Ivory. The shade range could be better as it doesn’t go super dark, which is usually the case with drugstore makeup. However, Ivory is very light.
I would definitely recommend this product if you’re going on holiday any time soon and don’t want a heavy, full foundation in the heat!
RRP – £9.99
Below, the left side of the picture is bare and the right side has the CC Cream on. You can see that my complexion is much more even, particularly under the eyes.
I hope you enjoyed this review!
