Hi guys,
A couple nights ago I had a dream. It was a super short dream which basically was just of my eye zoomed in.. on my eye was the eye makeup look I’m sharing with you today. When I woke up I wanted to create the look in real because it seemed so weird that I’d dreamt it up… I know all this sounds stupid and ‘yeah right!’, but I’m serious, this dream actually happened!
Step one – Base: First I used the L’oreal Infallible Primer (£7.99) to prep my skin. Then I went in with the Dior Forever foundation (£35), using the Real Techniques buffer brush to blend this out. Using this brush was new to me as I usually always stick to my Superdrug flat foundation brush, but I actually loved using the Real Techniques one.
Step two – Eyes: I did my eyebrows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade (£15) in the shade medium brown. I used a Morphe s25 for this. I then applied Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer (£5.49) all over my lid, using the Real Techniques flat foundation brush. I set this using a cream coloured eyeshadow, any you have will do! Next I went into the NYX Back to basics beauty school dropout palette (£30). I used an orangey/yellow shade, with slight shimmers in it, from the palette in my crease, and just above the crease, using a Morphe s27 brush. Next I went into the Zoeva Cocoa Blend palette (£19) and took the pink shade, Warm Notes. I used a Morphe s30 to pack the shadow all over the lid. Once these colours were all blended together, I added a wing using a black eyeliner from George at Asda… (My mum gave me it.. it’s actually great, go try it!). Next I added the same orangey/yellow shade I have already mentioned on my lower lash line using a pencil brush, blending it down a little further than normal. I used the L’oreal Miss Manga mascara (£7.99) on my top and bottom lashes.
Step three – Finishing: On a Real Techniques flat foundation brush, I took the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer (£7.99) and applied it under my eyes, down my nose and on my forehead. I set this using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder (£3.99) in the shade peach glow, using a Real Techniques contour brush. On a Morphe s13 brush, I applied the darkest contour shade from the NYX Back to Basics palette to define/carve out my cheek bones and my forehead. I also used a muted pink blush from this same palette on a Real Techniques contour brush. Next I took the L’oreal True Match liquid highlight in the shade Icy Glow (£8.99) and dabbed it on my cheek bones. I set this / added more glow, with the pink highlighter from the NYX palette, on a Morphe s26 brush. I used MAC HoneyLove matte lipstick (£16.50) and topped it with a Limited Collection lip gloss in the shade Blossom.
I would love to know your thoughts on this look in the comments below!
