Sancutary Spa Cleanse Moisture Burst facial wash review

Hi everyone,

Before I get started on today’s post, I just want to mention that I’m finalllyyyy going to be following a set schedule in regards to when I post. I will be posting every Monday and every Thursday.

Today I’m bringing you a new skin care post! For a looong time I’ve been using the same skin care products because I was completely satisfied with my routine and didn’t want to risk changing it up and ending up having a reaction since my skin’s kinda sensitive.
When I was going on holiday I faced a mini dilemma because I couldn’t take the bulk of my skin care stuff since it was over 100ml and I only had travel luggage… So I nipped into Boots to try and find something small enough that I could use for the week I was away. I picked up the Sancutary Spa Cleanse Moisture Burst facial wash. I was a little sceptical due to the gel formula of the face wash but I ended up absolutely loving this facial wash and I’ve since bought the full size which is ready to use when the mini has ran out!

SS Cleanse 2

Overview and Claims
The face wash is a gel formula with tiny beads of jojoba and almond oil. As I mentioned, gel scares me as I’ve found these formulas kind of drying in the past, but the added essential oils really appealed to me so I took the risk and bought it.
This wash claims to cleanse and refresh your face without drying it out. It will ‘effortlessly remove makeup, daily grime and impurities’ and leave your skin feeling ‘clean, soft and comfortable’.
The product costs £8 for 100ml. AND, you can usually get it on offer at Boots so it is a really affordable face wash.

Review
You are instructed to massage a small amount of this product into the skin and then rinse away with warm water. However, I prefer to use it wet as I find it massages in much easier this way.
Although the wash claims to remove makeup, from my experience it won’t remove a full face. I usually go in first with my Johnson’s makeup wipes and then follow with this to remove any remaining product and clean my face. I prefer a skin care routine like this as there’s something about removing ALL my makeup with a face wash that I just don’t like.. I like a few steps so I’m certain it has all gone.
After use skin feels squeaky clean and soft. I have dry skin and this hasn’t dried my skin out at all, although some reviews I have read have said that this isn’t good for dry skin, so I guess it’s personal preference. I really love the way my skin feels after use, that’s why this facial wash has become one of my favourites and a staple in my skin care routine.
The scent is a rather strong one of geranium. I personally really dislike it.. it is very flowery and heavily perfumed. Other reviews I have read have ALL said that they love the smell and that it’s luxurious, so I think it’s just me who doesn’t like it.

All in all, I think this face wash is a really great one from the drugstore, if you’re looking for some new skin care products definitely check out Sanctuary Spa! They have a fantastic range.

Thanks for reading!

Jazmin xx

I always buy Sancutary gift sets for myself from Boots in the January sales: it wasn’t until very recently I realised Sanctary products are sold all year in there, aha! Great review 😀

Thanks for the review! Seems like a good product. What really struck my attention was the Johnson facial wipes! I need those! I use SIMPLE brand ones now but I’ve always love johnson&johnson brand and I didn’t know they had these!
