Wild Olive Banana & Oats face mask review

Hi everyone,

Today, I want to review a wonderfully natural face mask for you that I picked up in a cute shop called The Cats Pyjama’s in Matlock, UK.
You likely haven’t heard of the company ‘Wild Olive’ as it is a small family business created in Derbyshire, UK. They make natural handmade soaps, body products and candles all of which are affordable and lovely! If you’re anything like me, you’ll love natural products. Using them makes me feel like I’m doing something right and I don’t have to worry about any nasty chemicals.

As you can see, the packaging of the product is adorable. The mask powder (more on this later) comes in a plastic pot inside a small cup. Inside the cup there is also a wooden spatula so you can apply the mask once it’s mixed. On top, a round piece of cardboard is stuck on the lid with all the information you need about the mask. On the flip side of this you can find the instructions. (This mask was intended for normal and sensitive skin).

Ingredients
White clay, Banana powder, Honey, Yoghurt powder and Oats.

How to use & Review
The instructions state that the pot contains two uses. Therefore, I decided to mix half of the powder with a couple of tea spoons full of water. I did this in a egg cup so I could store the rest of the powder in the little cup the product came in.
Once I mixed the powder with water it turned into a thin(ish) paste. I took the wooden spatula and applied it evenly to my face. The colour was a very pale yellow and I could definitely smell a slight banana scent. As instructed, I left it on for ten minutes and my face went very tight.

I easily took this off using warm water and a cloth. Immediately after my face felt lovely, refreshed and deeply clean. The soft feeling on my face has remained in the following days too which I don’t find happens with many masks! I’m excited to use the rest of the product.

I’d definitely recommend checking out the Wild Olive website for natural handmade products that you can feel good about using.
