The Body Shop 24 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar – First 12 Days!

Hi everyone,

This year I was lucky enough to receive The Body Shop 24 days of beauty advent calendar from my lovely boyfriend Michael. I didn’t want to open the doors all at once to do a post about it before December, since this was a gift. So I have decided to do two posts on the calendar – the first 12 days and the last 12 days!

TBS 1

Day 1 – Mango Lip Butter
I was super excited to receive a good lip balm inside day number one of the calendar. I am just running out of my aloe vera vaseline, and I recently heard that vaseline isn’t the best for moisturising lips. So I am very pleased with this lip butter. It feels great on the lips and smells divine.

Day 2 – Mango Shower Gel
I love The Body Shop shower gels so again I was very happy to find this mini mango one behind the second door of the calendar. I haven’t tried it yet, but it smells amazing in the bottle so I’m sure I will love it.

Day 3 – Frosted Plum Soap
When I opened this door, I didn’t know the scent was ‘frosted plum’ but I have since discovered this is in fact what it is. I’m sorry it’s looking a little worse for wear in the pictures… I used it before picturing it (oops). I don’t usually go for solid soaps like this, but I am enjoying using it and it smells great.

Day 4 – Coconut Shower Cream
I already have the full size of this which I am almost out of so I was happy to get a little re-stock. I love the shower creams as they are super moisturising. You may know that coconut is one of my favourite ever scents.. so of course I love this.

TBS Soaps

Day 5 – Nail File
In all honesty, before this I don’t think I even owned a nail file. So I suppose it’s a good thing that I now have one! We will have to see if I actually use it though.

Day 6 – Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel
I wish you would have seen my face when I opened this door. I LOVE this scent.. it’s just so refreshing and uplifting! I am super excited to use this one up. It will probably be the first one to go.

Day 7 – Frosted Berries Soap
This smells lovely so I am looking forward to using this one up after I have used the plum one. I heard somewhere that you can use these soaps to clean your makeup brushes, so I may give that a go.

Day 8 – Strawberry Shower Gel
Another shower gel!!! You may think this is a bad thing getting so many shower gels in the calendar but I am really happy with it. I love using different shower gels, as you will know if you read my blog a lot (they somehow always make their way into my favourite posts). I haven’t tried anything from the strawberry range, so it will be fab to give it a go.

Day 9 – Eyelash Curler
I was happy to see this behind door nine! I have an eyelash curler but it is getting pretty old now so I have thrown it out and will be replacing it with this one. I think it’s great that the calendar has some tools in there as well as products.

Day 10 – Mango Whipped Body Lotion
Whipped?! I was so intrigued by this. The texture is very light and somehow fluffy, I think whipped is the perfect word to describe it. For this reason it sinks into the skin so quickly so this one is gonna be great for if I am in a rush.

Day 11 – Bath Lily
I’m not sure of the actual technical term for these… sponge, scruchie, lily?! However, I love using these in the shower and since this is The Body Shop I am sure this one will be excellent quality.

Day 12 – Vanilla Soap
Another soap.. I will use them all up, I just need to find a place to store them all haha.. soap dishes anyone??? This one smells amazing and looks like it’s going to be quite moistursing. It’s also a cute Christmas tree so I am happy with that. (And it kind of looks like white chocolate..)

TBS Other

And that’s the first 12 days of the Calendar! What do you think? Would you be happy with these products? Have you got a beauty calendar this year? Let me know in the comments below!
