Easy Glossy Eye Makeup Look

Hi everyone!

For a while now I’ve been wanting to try out a glossy eye look as every time I see them on my instagram feed I’m in love. I didn’t know how easy this look would be but it turned out to be super simple to do. I wanted to share this look with you as I think it looks really pretty (I kind of struggled to get good pictures of it though as I needed the gloss in the right light haha). I know it’s kind of an editorial look which wouldn’t be worn on an every day basis but it was fun to do and unique so I thought I’d post it here on my blog anyway. Hope you enjoy!

Step one – base: I first applied the L’oreal Infallible Primer (£8.99). I then went in with a mixture of Collection Lasting Perfection foundation (£5.99) and L’oreal True Match Foundation (£9.99). I blended this out with the Real Techniques buffer brush.

Step two – eyes: I first did my eyebrows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills pomade (£15). I used a Morphe s25 brush for this. Next I set my eyebrows using the Rimmel brow this way gel (£4.99). I next applied the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19) all over my eyelid. I used the Real Techniques pointed foundation brush for this. I set the concealer using a cream coloured eye shadow. I personally used a Morphe one but any one you have will be completely fine. Next, with a Morphe s27 brush, I went in with the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (£8.99) in the shade Lovely Pink all over my lid. Use any pink colour shadow or blush that you want too. Make sure you apply enough so that the colour is quite bright as it will appear paler once you add the gloss. Next I curler my eye lashes with an eye lash curler. I then took my Natural Collection Vanilla clear lipgloss and applied it all over my eye lid on top of my eye shadow. Once this was done I added a tiny amount of Maybelline The Rocket Mascara (£7.99) on just my upper lashes. That’s it!

Me struggling to get a pic which show the glossyness..

Step three – finishing: I used the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer under my eyes and down the centre of my face to highlight. I then set my face using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder (£3.99). I used a big fluffy brush for this. On a Morphe s13 brush, I used the L’oreal glam bronze duo (£10.99) to bronze and contour my face. I applied the same Max Factor blush I used on my eyes on my face using the Real Techniques contour brush. Then I highlighted my cheek bones, cupids bow and inner corner using the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl in the shade Charming Pink (£21). I added a Primark Velvet Matte lip crayon in the shade Ballerina and finished with a little of the clear lipgloss on top.

That’s it! What do you think of the finished look? Do you think you would give this one a go yourself? Thanks for reading!!

Sadly this look won’t work for me. The downside of having mono lids boo!!
Does the gloss not make it feel sticky?

Ahhh yes! Aw that’s a shame, never mind though I’m sure sooo many looks look amazing on you. And it didn’t feel bad, but I guess it depends which gloss you use xx

I’ve never thought to try this look, it looks great on you, but does it not make your eye feel uncomfortable with sticky gloss?

This looks so pretty on you! I really wanna try it out, but I’m scared, it would bunch up in the inner corner of my eye or something ♥ I really like, that you put the prices of everything behind it, when you mention it! Great post ♥
