Sarah’s Soap Handmade Coffee & Coconut Scrub Bar Review

Hi everyone!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you will probably know that I really like to use natural products whenever I can. For my birthday my friend Harriet gave me this Coffee & Coconut scrub bar which is completely natural. Of course, I had to try it out so I could share my verdict with you. This review couldn’t come at a better time really because here in UK microbeads have finally been banned, which is great news as they are none biodegradable and can be awful for marine life. I think I have found you all another affordable and effective scrub which you can use to leave your skin feeling extra smooth.

Coffee and Coconut scrub bar 1

Overview
All’s that is in these scrub bars is olive oil, organic coconut oil, water, sweet almond oil, castor oil, lya, coconut milk, cocoa butter and organic ground coffee. These ingredients are all super good for the skin and won’t dry you out at all like some scrubs do. On the Etsy page for this product I read that caffeine helps to reduce signs of cellulite, which we could all use a little extra help with, am I right?
The bar is of course also cruelty free, SLS Free and Vegan friendly.

Review
The bar itself feels very smooth and moistursing to the touch. You can feel all the oils in there. At a first touch, the scrubby bits aren’t so prominent which made me think the bar would be a gentle scrub – but I was wrong!
I used this in the shower on wet skin. I rubbed the bar directly onto the skin and instantly felt the ground coffee scrubbing away. This is such an effective scrub, truly one of the most scrubby scrubs I have used! This is great news, as Winter is leaving my legs feeling very dry. Not only is the scrub effective, the bar is also moisturising, so my skin has not been left dried out in the slightest. Although I always follow any scrub with a body lotion anyway.
It is totally up to you how often you use this scrub, but I would say around 2 times a week is good.
All in all I would seriously recommend this product, and it is only £4 for a big bar which is such a bargain!
