Revolution x Sophdoesnails Highlighter Palette review & swatches!

Hi everyone,

So I haven’t posted in about a week, which is actually so much less than I usually post. The reason is that I am soo busy in my third year of uni, so sometimes it is hard to find the time to write and take / edit photos. However, I am still here and will be posting fairly frequently.
Today’s post is a review of the Revolution and Sophdoesnails highlighter palette. This palette has been getting a lot of love online, so I ended up picking it up! I want to share my honest review with you here, I hope you will enjoy it.

Overview
The packaging of this palette is gorgeous, as you can see. It comes in a box with an open front window so you can see all the highlighters inside. The actual palette is pretty sturdy plastic in a pale pink colour. I am very happy with this, particularly for drugstore.
For just £8 you get 8 different highlighters. You really cannot complain at £1 per highlight. There is a mixture of pressed highlighters and baked highlighters in the palette, so there should be something for everyone. The colour selection in here is also really great. There is at least a couple of shades that can be used on different skin tones. I think this is amazing as it is hard to find inclusive products like this, specially in the drugstore.

Review
Since I have fair skin, I use the first two highlighters on the top row the most. Along with the pink and purple tones on the second row. The others I will sometimes mix in with the paler shades, or I use them as eyeshadows, so as to get use out of all the colours.
For £8 the pigmentation is really impressive. They aren’t chalky or glittery and provide a nice sheen to the skin.
I have found that the staying power is not amazing. They will last and be visible for a few hours which is okay, but they don’t last as well as some other highlighters I have (for example, the Laura Geller baked gelato swirl, or the Rimmel Kate Moss sculpting palette one). However for the price I can’t really complain.
The pink shade is perhaps the least pigmented in my opinion, but if you want a highlighter that is more natural looking then you will probably like it a lot.
All in all, I think this is an amazing palette if you are looking for a selection of different highlights for an affordable price. These are wonderful for every day use and I really enjoy using them.
