Hi everyone!
If you read my January Favourites then you’ll know that I have been loving the Makeup Revolution x Sophdoesnails eyeshadow palette. It’s an incredible palette which is sooo affordable, and definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already. I decided I would create a makeup look using this palette to show you all this palette in action, along with many other amazing products!!
Step one – Base: I first applied the NYX Honey Dew Me Up primer (£15). Once this was done, I applied the Kat Von D Lock It Foundation (£27) with a Real Techniques buffer brush.
Step two – Eyes: As always, I filled in my eyebrows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade with a Morphe s25 brush. I set them with the Rimmel Brow This Way gel (£4.99). Next I applied the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19) all over my eyelid using a Morphe s4 brush. Then I went into the Revolution x Sophdoesnails eyeshadow palette (£10). I took the shade ‘Penguin’ and applied it all over my lid, with a Morphe s27 brush. Using the same brush, I used ‘Pancakes’ in my crease. I then used a mix of ‘Mug Cake’ and ‘Rosewood’ on the outer portion and inner portion of my eye, leaving the centre blanc. I used a Morphe s12 for this. Once this was completely blended, I used the shade ‘Petrol’ with my finger in the centre of my eyelid, to create a spotlight effect. I also used a little of ‘Pine Tree’ on top too. Once I was happy with this, I took a touch more of ‘Pancakes’ on a Morphe s27 brush and blended out the edges even more. Next I used the Soap & Glory Supercat liquid eyeliner (£6.50) to create a small-ish wing. I then used the Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara (£10).
Step three – Finishing: I used the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£4.19) under my eyes, down my nose and on the centre of my forehead. I blended this out with a Morphe s4 brush. I choose not to set my face with powder, as I have dry skin and since I had matte foundation, I found I didn’t really need it. I used the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting palette (£6.99) to contour and then used the L’oreal Glam Bronze duo (£10.99) to bronze up a little more. For the contour and bronze I used a Morphe s13 brush. I used Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso, with a Real Techniques contour brush. I then went into to the Revolution x Sophdoesnails highlight palette (£8) and used a mixture of the gold shade and the white shade on my cheek bones, on the tip of my nose, in my inner corner and on my cupids bow. Finally I used the Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lipstick in the shade Latte To Go (£5.99).. This was so patchy, so I added Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in the shade 45 (£5.49).
That’s it! What do you think of the finished look? Let me know in the comments below!
