Garnier Moisture Bomb Super-Hydrating Soothing Tissue Mask – Review

Hi guys!

Recently I nipped to Tesco to buy some Ben & Jerry’s ice-cream… Whilst there, I had a little look at the skincare section since I needed to re-stock on a few bits. I saw that these Garnier tissue masks were on offer, so I thought I may as well pick one up!

Garnier moisture bomb

Overview & Claims
There are a few different masks in this ‘Moisture Bomb’ range. In the past I have tried the Pomegranate ‘Revitalising’ mask, which I found to be great (You can see my review for that one here)
This time, I decided to pick the chamomile ‘Soothing’ mask. My skin broke out not too long ago, and parts of my skin still feel a little bit too dry and sore. I thought this mask would help me recover from that, since it is targeted at dry and sensitive skin.
The masks retail for £3 each, but I managed to get mine for £2. You can do the same and get yours here.
£3 does seem a tad pricey for a drugstore face mask, specially when these used to be 99p when they first came out!

This mask claims to intensely hydrate, comfort and sooth, and leave skin feeling softer. The ingredients in this mask sound amazing. Chamomile has properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and it also reduces skin irritants. Hyaluronic acid locks in moisture – this is what makes the mask super hydrating.
Each masks contains one weeks worth of hydrating active!

Review
The mask comes with a blue plastic protective cover on it. I peeled this off, then arranged the mask on my face. I would have liked the eye and mouth holes to be a little bit bigger, however, this wasn’t a major problem at all. The mask did fit to my face, with a few folds in the mask and adjusting. I noticed that this mask was soaked in a lot of serum and there was still serum left in the packet too. I felt this was good as it would provide a lot of hydration. It did make the mask a little bit messy, but it wasn’t too bad and it wouldn’t put me off using again.
Once it was on, it didn’t really slip down my face very much, like a lot of masks do. It did just a little though, but it was easy enough to re-arrange very slightly.
I left the mask on for 15 minutes, as instructed, then I removed it and massaged the excess serum into the skin.

I was happy with the results. My face was really bright and glowy after use, and my skin did feel really hydrated and more plump. The mask was super refreshing!
I enjoyed using this mask and I would recommend it, specially while it’s on offer! I think I will repurchase this and use it if my skin feels like it needs a boost, or perhaps if I am doing something special in the evening!
I think these kinds of masks would also be ideal to use on a long haul flight!
