Garnier SkinActive Soothing Botanical Toner Review

Hey guys!

Quite recently I purchased this Garnier Soothing Botanical Toner with Rose Water, since my usual Lush toner went out of date. I chose this one because A, I LOVE Rose and B, it is aimed at dry and sensitive skin. Although my skin isn’t super sensitive, it is definitely dry and recently I have been breaking out more than usual. I hoped something like this could calm my skin down.

I have been using it long enough now that I really wanted to post a review on this as its such an affordable product which is easy to get hold of! If you want to know my thoughts on this one, just keep reading.

Overview
The Garnier SkinActive is quite a big range. They have a multitude of face care products which are worth checking out. They have products aimed at various skin types, and the toners are no different!
The one I have has rose water in it, which is intended to maintain the skins PH balance. It has anti-inflammatory properties which help with irritated skin and acne. This definitely sounds ‘soothing’ and I can see why they have included this in a product aimed at dry and sensitive skin.
The product is made from 96% natural origin, has no parabens, silicones or artificial colourants.

I like the packaging of this product, the bottle is thin and sleek and the plastic is tinted pale pink. It is sturdy and the cap hasn’t leaked at all.
This toner is £3.49. You can usually get it on offer for around half price, so it is really affordable! A bottle will last around one and half to two months for me.

Review
I have been using this on a cotton pad every morning and evening after cleansing my skin. I let it soak into my skin, then I apply a moisturiser. First, let me just say that the smell of this is so nice, it is so refreshing! It feels very cooling on the skin which is always nice. I feel that this toner is more moisturising than others I have tried. I found that my Lush toner dried my skin out.
This doesn’t leave a residue on my face, it simply soaks in and leaves my skin feeling just a bit more supple.
Since using this my breakouts have seemed to clear up quicker, perhaps a coincidence, but I haven’t changed anything else in my routine!!
My pores don’t appear reduced from using this product, however since I have dry skin, my pores are very large either – only on my cheeks near my nose. They have stayed the same. So if you are looking for something to reduce pores, then this may not be the toner for you.

Garnier SkinActive

I don’t have a lot of Garnier products. In the past I found that they generally didn’t make much of a difference to my skin. But this toner is something that I would recommend if you have dry skin and you are looking for something affordable. Overall, it is a really good product.

Thanks for reading! Have you tried anything from this range? What do you think?

Jazmin xx

I put this one in small spray bottle and use it as a hydrating mist/makeup refreshment during day. I love it for that, but have to be honest I don’t use toner in my skin care routine so never used it like that hehe. xx

The packaging is really nice. But I feel that garnier products don’t work.

I can agree on quite a few Garnier products (as stated in the post) but this particular toner surprised me and I really like it! X
