Hey guys,
Finally bringing you another sample Wednesday post! If you haven’t seen this series on my blog before it’s basically a way for me to give you mini reviews of things I have accumulated in my ‘sample stash’.
For some reason I seem to hoard samples, and this series is finally getting me to use them up and decide if I want to purchase the full size or not.
Today I am going to give you a little review of the Lancôme Génifique Yuex Light-Pear Illuminating Youth Activating Eye Serum. My mum gave me this a little bit ago as I have quite dark under eye-circles. With this being an illuminating eye serum, I thought it could help to brighten the area. If you want to see how I got on, keep reading!
Overview & Claims
The full size of this product is 20ml and it costs £49. Of course, this is pretty expensive! But Lancôme is definitely a high end if not luxury brand, so the price tag is expected. My sample is 5ml of product and I have used almost all of that, which actually amounts to a quarter of the full size, so the sample is quite large.
The eye serum claims to give eyes a softer and brighter appearance. It will leave eyes feeling refreshed and fine lines will appear reduced.
The Lancôme website says to apply every morning and/or night after cleansing and moisturising. Swirl the 360ᵒ pearl applicator around the eye contour to massage the serum into the skin.
Review
As instructed, I applied this serum in the evening after cleansing and moisturising. The 5ml sample has lasted me a good amount of time as a little really does go a long way! I liked applying this product as it feels super cooling and nice on the skin. The applicator is interesting to use. I did think it would be a little bit difficult to use, but it actually was fine to use to apply the serum and to massage the eye contours.
However, despite the application being incredibly pleasant and the serum feeling amazing on the skin, I have not seen any benefits from using the product. I still have quite a few line lines under eyes and my dark circles don’t seem to be reduced at all. Under my eyes do feel nice and moisturised, but I get this result with other, much more affordable products.
Overall, I won’t be purchasing the pricey full size of this product. It is a nice product, but for me it just isn’t worth the price tag due to seeing a lack of results after using 5ml of the product.. Back to my The Body Shop Vitamin E eye cream for me!
Have you tried this eye serum? Do you think it’s worth the splurge? Let me know any thoughts in the comments below! And don’t forget to follow/subscribe to my blog if you enjoyed this post!

Thank you for the honest review! I love some Lancôme products but I definitely expect pretty impressive results when investing in high end skincare so I’ll give this one a miss!
