How I used to do my makeup in school!

Hey guys!

Today, after looking at some old pictures from my time at high school, I wanted to join in with one of the oldest trends. I thought it would be fun to share my ‘go to’ makeup look whilst at school, because honestly it’s pretty funny! This makeup is really something I would never wear now, but would any of us wear the makeup looks we wore to school again?! At the time I loved it.

For this look think pale face, dark eyes. If you went to school around the same time as me (I left in 2013), you’ll know the trend I’m talking about. I remember topping up the eyeliner at lunch times in the toilets.

1 – BASE: I use to wear Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation every single day. I’d always stick with a shade FAR too pale for me. It was a rubbish choice because I have dry skin and it stuck to my dry patches.
Today to replicate that look I’ve used the Maybelline Superstay foundation. At the minute I’m more tanned than usual, so this foundation is looking pale on me, it’s also pretty drying without a moisturising primer and setting spray. So I feel like this has created a similar look.
I added concealer under my eyes. At school I only ever wore it under my eyes and no where else… so I couldn’t conceal any blemishes or red patches today.

2 – EYES: The eyes are the masterpiece of the look. I applied thick black eyeliner to my water line and a line above my eyelashes too. I used to use a Bourjois Kohl eyeliner, but today I’ve used The Body Shop kohl eyeliner.
I’ve piled on the Rimmel Wow Wing mascara. In school I used any mascara that was cheap!
Eyebrows? Oh I didn’t touch them.

3 – LIPS: The only lip product I ever used was Nivea Pearly Shine lip balm! Today I’ve used Nivea Soft Rose, which is similar!

That’s it! What do you think of the look? Was your school look similar? Let me know what you did with your makeup, I’d love to hear!

  1. Yessss! I did a similar look to this but my eyes were a lot thicker with eyeliner & I always drew a star in liquid liner underneath one eye. Imagine my frustration when the star stamp liners came out recently…I used to draw those bad boys to be unique & now they’re everywhere?! I might start doing it again haha! x x
