July Favourites 2018

Hey everyone!

How has your July been? If you’re in the UK you will have been experiencing some serious heatwaves like me.. It’s been lovely to have some sun, but I am such a Winter baby and I would very much like a change in the weather soon!
July has been a great month for me, I visited Wroclaw (see my post on that trip here), I graduated, and I also started a new job. I’ve only been there less than a week but so far so good.
As usual, I wanted to create a favourites post to share the things I’ve been loving in July.

River Island Tokyo Eau De Toilette
My sister got me this for my birthday in January and I was saving it for summer as the scent is so light and fresh! This month I have used it an awful lot. I love the scent so much and it lasts pretty well on me. I do need to top it up throughout the day, but I don’t mind. I’m sure I will continue to use this next month.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick (Saint)
As you probably already know, Lime Crime make some of my all time favourite lipsticks. I love the shade saint so much – it is deep burgundy red. I think the shade of red is beautiful on so many skin tones, and I find it more flattering on myself than a bright red. This is probably quite an autumn/winter shade, but I loved it this month.

Ardell Demi Wispies
I’m so late to the bandwagon with these lashes… I know everyone has loved them for ages but I only recently bought them. However I can totally understand the hype! They are gorgeous, fluttery but not too much on the eye. My eye shade doesn’t suit very full thick eyelashes, so these demi wispies are perfect for me.

Barry M Frosted Cupcakes Nail Polish (Strawberries & Cream)
I think the frosted cupcakes range is my favourite from Barry M. I adore the shade strawberries & cream. It is a very pale pink which has little glitters throughout, however they are not typical glitters and actually look quite matte within the polish. It really adds that extra something special. I also find that the frosted cupcakes polish’s chip far less easily.

Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder
I recently purchased this Max Factor pressed powder as my usual Rimmel stay matte was out of stock and I’d forgotten to pack any powder when I went to Liverpool for my graduation earlier this month. I had a little look around Superdrug and decided this one would do since I already liked the Creme Puff Blush from Max Factor. Since then I have used this every time I’ve done my makeup to set my entire face. It does a really good job of keeping my makeup in place.

That’s all for this month! What do you think of my picks? Let me know!

Jazmin xx

I was really disappointed with Max Factor powder, mainly the shade was so off. It was supposed to be translucent but it was so dark and pink, so I couldn’t really properly test it out. I gave it to my mom as she is a lot darker, I wish they had proper shades, all of their shades here are pink toned unfortunately. I wanna try that fragrance, it sounds perfect. xx

ahh really? That’s such a shame! Luckily I managed to find a shade that matches me. It sucks when you can’t find your shade. The fragrance is lovely xx
