Simple Date Night Makeup Look

Hey guys!

I feel like it’s been a while since I shared a makeup look with you here on my blog. So today I decided I’d share a basic date night makeup look that I’ve been loving lately. It’s super simple to do and I think it looks like such a classic look. If you want to know how I achieved this look and which products I used, then just keep reading!

Step One – Base: I first applied Nivea Soft Moisturiser to act as a primer (£2.49) and waited for this to soak in a bit. Then I used my Real Techniques buffer brush to apply the Maybelline SuperStay foundation (£9.99).

Step Two – Eyes: As usual I used the ABH Dipbrow Pomade (£19) to fill in my eyebrows, with a Morphe small angled brush and spoolie. I set them using Rimmel Brow This Way (£4.99). Next I applied Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) all over my eye lid as a base, for this I used the Real Techniques small pointed foundation brush. Then I went into the Mac Amber Times Nine eyeshadow palette (£26). With a Morphe s27 I applied the cream coloured matte shade (first shade on the second row) all over my lid to set the concealer. Then, using the same brush, I took the taupe shade (third on first row) and applied it into my crease. Then I used the light brown shade (third on second row) and applied it into my crease, but also dragged it down onto the outer portion of my eye. I added the deeper brown shade (middle on bottom row) onto the outer portion of my eye. Then I took a Morphe s12 brush and applied a small amount of the black/brown shade with glitters in it (last on bottom row) onto the very outer corner of my eye lid. Finally, using my finger, I applied the mauve shimmer shade (first on bottom row) all over my eyelid. The shimmer shade isn’t extremely pigmented but it does add a nice wash of shimmer onto the lid, and I like the overall effect. Next I curled my eyelashes and applied the Ardell Demi Wispies lashes (£5.49). I used Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (£8.99) on my lower lashes.

Step Three – Face: I applied Collection Lasting Perfection concealer under my eyes, on my forehead and down the bridge of my nose. I blended this in with the same Real Techniques small pointed foundation brush from earlier. Once this was done I took a big fluffy brush and set my face using Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder (£6.99) in the shade Natural. Next I took the Zoeva Contour Spectrum palette (£15) and on a Morphe s13 brush, I used the cooler toned brown to carve out my cheeks. I then used the darker/warmer brown and bronzed up my face using the same brush. Next, using a Real Techniques contour brush, I used Milani Baked Blush in the shade Luminoso on the apples of my cheeks. Then I used the Revolution x Sophdoesnails highlighter palette (£8) with a Morphe s26 brush. I took the last shade on the first row and applied it to the high points of my cheeks, my cupids bow, my nose, my brow bone and my inner corners. Finally I used Lime Crime Velvetines liquid Lipstick in the shade Saint (£18).
