Under Hyped Makeup Products

Hey guys!

Recently when I’ve been doing my makeup I’ve been thinking about how good some of the products are, and how they truly deserve more attention and hype! I wanted to write a post including some of my favourite products which I think are under hyped. So if you want to find out my opinions, then just keep reading!

NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer
I did post a whole review on this primer that you can read here if you wish, but basically I bloody love this product! It’s amazing if you have dry skin, as sometimes my foundation can look so flat and dry on my skin. However, this really makes my skin look much healthier and glowier. It helps the foundation go on much smoother. Truly it is one of the best primers I have ever used and I seriously think this deserves more attention.

Max Factor Face Finity foundation
This foundation is probably my all time favourite from the drugstore, and yet I barely hear anyone speak about it? I love the high coverage as it covers any redness, but it doesn’t look heavy or cakey on the skin; it’s the best of both worlds. It’s also affordable, and I prefer it to the pricier Dior forever foundation and KVD Lock It.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipsticks
Okay, if you read my blog a lot you’ll already know I love these lipsticks, and I probably hype them up enough for the whole nation. But I just cannot get enough! The formula is amazing: fully opaque, matte yet not drying! They don’t seem to smudge on me at all, and the colour range is beautiful. These are definitely my favourite liquid lipsticks, and frankly I think they deserve a bit more love.

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette
Basically just Zoeva eyeshaodws in general. The formula is one of the best I’ve ever used. The colours are so pigmented and creamy, fall out is minimal and staying power is impressive. What more could you ask for? And the price is very reasonable too.

Laura Geller Charming Pink Gelato Swirl Illuminator
I know the Gilded Honey illuminator from Laura Geller gets quite a lot of attention, but I don’t hear anyone mention the other shades! Charming pink is such a beautiful pale champagne pink colour, which I love. The formula is amazing too, it looks like a pretty glowy sheen – not glittery and doesn’t emphasis any texture. It’s also lasted me forever.

Bourjois Velvet Rouge Edition Lipstick (Don’t Pink Of It)
For a long time, I had this lipstick in my collection and also didn’t hype it up.. but then I started to use it more and realised just how amazing it is! The mousse like texture is super comfortable on the lips, yet full opaque colour. These are also very affordable, which is a complete bonus! The colour Don’t Pink Of It is a stunning muted pale pink and I love it a lot.

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Great post! Im gonna have to look into the Nyx primer, I’ve always passed it in the drugstore but never picked it up since I always felt it was like honey in a jar and that texture on the skin sort of freaks me out!😂😂😂 As far as the LG highlighters, I agree that the pinky/ orangey shades look so gorgeous, but I just finished picking up the guilded honey (in a trio) to test the formula before I think about picking up some more, so that’s another product I’ve been eyeing!
