Hey everyone,
I recently engaged in yet another impulse buy.. oops! This time it was the Too Faced Born This Way foundation. Browsing in Debenhams I ended up at the Too Faced counter and before I could even think about it, I’d been colour matched and bought the foundation.
I have heard so many good things about this foundation, so although I’d normally like to do a little more research before purchasing a higher end product, I wasn’t too worried about this impulse buy because everyone seems to love it so much! But lets see if I think it’s worth the hype..
Overview
This oil free foundation is meant to provide a luminous, undetectable, medium to full coverage.
It is unfused with coconut water to replenish skin’s moisture levels, alpine rose to help brighten and boost skin’s radiance, and hyaluronic acid for a smooth, youthful appearance.
There are 35 different shades of this (available on Cult Beauty) and 30ml of product will cost you £29.
Review
I applied this with my usual Real Techniques buffer brush. I found that the product went on smoothly and blurred my imperfections a little bit. However, I do not think this foundation covered everything, and I wouldn’t say I was able to achieve a full coverage with this, as the packaging suggests. I believe this builds up to a medium coverage only.
On a good skin day, this foundation looks nice. It looks fairly smooth and definitely gives a luminous dewy finish. I can see why people believe this foundation makes their skin look ‘healthy’, however I don’t believe that affect lasts, as soon after application, this began to sink into fine lines.
It didn’t last well on my skin either unfortunately. After around 4 hours this was noticeably faded around my nose, mouth and jaw. For a high end foundation, I do not think this is very impressive at all.
I would personally prefer to spend my money elsewhere and definitely wouldn’t consider this one ‘worth the hype’.
One thing I will say, is that this foundation does look nice mixed in with a matte foundation. I have been wearing this mixed with the Max Factor Face Finity foundation. This is how I will use this bottle up!

Foundation applied to half the face
