October Favourites 2018

Hi everyone!

It’s FINALLY November and I am already feeling super festive. These months are my absolute favourite and I am all ready to get excited for Christmas. But before I can start getting in November & December mode, it’s time for me to share what I have been loving in October.

NYX Matte Suede Lipstick in ‘Rosé the day’
I believe these Nyx Suede lipsticks are a pretty new product. However, I didn’t know it was when I picked this one up in Boots a few weeks ago. I picked this up based on a recommendation from a friend and oh my gosh I absolutely LOVE this formula. It is perfect for me – soft matte, not drying at all, doesn’t make the lips look like they have a million lines and the staying powder is amazing too. I only have to re-apply after quite a few hours, which I don’t mind at all. I love this deep nude shade with rosey undertones & it *sort of* reminds me of Kat Von D Lolita. For £8, these lipsticks are a bargain and I will definitely be getting more shades.

Makeup Revolution Soph x lipstick in ‘Cake’
This is another lipstick that I have been loving in October and I cannot believe it is only £4! The formula of this is super comfortable and the pinky nude shade is very wearable. I don’t usually go for a creamy satin finish like this one, I tend to stick to my mattes, but I am so glad I picked this up. Sometimes after applying I used a tissue to dab my lips to create a less creamy finish. I definitely recommend this!

Garnier Soothing Botanical Toner with Rose Water
This is the only non-makeup product to feature on my favourites this time. However, it’s a brilliant one! I have really seen the benefits in this toner as the weather has changed. My skin is more dry and sensitive at the moment and this toner has done an excellent job at calming my skin down and evening it out. It feels really soothing on the skin and the natural ingredients have done my face a world of good. I can see this will be a firm favourite in the coming months.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer
I finally took the plunge this month and treated myself to this Soft Matte complete concealer from Nars. I have wanted to try this for a while as I saw lots of great reviews of it. I was always a fan of solid concealers, until I jumped on the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer bandwagon. However, I am now safely on this Nars one! I am planning on doing a full review of this concealer so I won’t go into too much detail, but it has the coverage I want, doesn’t look drying as some may expect and does’t set into fine lines half as bad as other concealers I have tried! This is the first Nars product I’ve tried and It’s a winner for me.

Zoeva Contour Spectrum Palette
I’ve had this palette a while and honestly didn’t use it all that much at the beginning, however I have fell in love with it this October and have been reaching for it consistently! I admit, I haven’t touched the banana powder or the highlighter as they are just not right for my skin tone. But I am so obsessed with the two contour colours. The shades are perfect and the powders go on super smoothly and never seem to go patchy at all! I would recommend the palette for those two contour colours as £15 for two powders I adore and two I never use isn’t all that bad!

YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara
I’ve recently been wearing this mascara again after completely forgetting I have it. Whenever I am gifted high end products I tend to treasure them and keep them in a safe place, and then proceed to forget about them. I dug this out in October and have remembered how good it is. I love the volume and length this gives my lashes, and although it’s expensive, I do think it’s a really good option if you’re wanting to splurge.

That’s it for this month!! Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below xx

Lovely favorites, I tend to treasure high-end products as well, I am always scared to use them 😛 I am so curious to try that NYX lipstick, I usually adore their products, so I am not surprised that this one is good!

I love those lipstick colours! I’m not a lipstick wearer, really and I can’t pull off any bright colours so nudes like these would be perfect! xxx
