Sample Wednesday: Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser

Hi everyone,

It’s been a little while since I wrote a ‘Sample Wednesday’ post, however I was kindly gifted the Amazon Beauty Calendar from my boyfriend, so I’m going to be having quite a few more samples to try out! I think these posts are a really good way to share my initial thoughts on product, so I can see if it’s worth purchasing the full size.

Today I’ll be looking at the Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser which was actually inside box 1 of my Amazon Beauty Calendar. I opened box 1 early *oops I couldn’t wait*, so I’ve almost used up the whole tube of this which had 12ml, as I’ve been using it in a morning and an evening in order to get a full opinion on this.

Overview
This hydrating cleanser is meant to be ideal for sensitive, distressed complexions. It is said to ‘remove makeup, dirt and impurities whilst respecting your skin’s natural oil and pH balance.’
It contains omega 6 and 9, vitamin E and natural oils which will hydrate and refresh your skin leaving it feeling soft and supple.
You can use this on your eyes too, as Pai claim to removes all makeup well thanks to its ingredients of castor and almond oil, whilst at the same time is gentle enough to use around the eye area.

The full size of this retails for £40 for 200ml, which definitely isn’t cheap! However, if you’re into your organic skin care and have sensitive delicate skin, you might find this justifiable. You also get a small cloth when you purchase.

Review
As I mentioned, I have been using this both morning and night for a few days now. As the tube instructs, I have massaged some of the product into dry skin, and removed with a damp muslin cloth (which came in box 1 of my calendar also).
The texture is a fairly thin cream – it’s not runny though. Massaging it into the skin it does feel a little luxurious and I could immediately tell it would be moisturising for the skin. I could detect the oils too the more I used this, but it’s definitely not over oily either. The texture is actually perfect and does genuinely seem great for dry and sensitive skin.
I found that it removes makeup quite well too, however I’ve used cleansers which are better at this, namely my Sanctuary Spa Moisture Burst, which is also more affordable. I tend to find that gel cleansers work better on my skin to remove makeup, but hydrating ones do leave my skin feeling lovely and soft.
This hydrating cleanser was no different! My skin was so soft, soothed and supple after use that I just wanted to keep touching it. It is a incredibly gentle cleanser and if you do have sensitive delicate skin then I really would suggest giving this a go.
As for me, I really enjoyed using this cleanser, and once I’ve used up some more of my current skin care, I might give this a go and use it of a morning. I prefer a gel cleanser which I can trust to remove every bit of my makeup and leave my skin feeling squeaky clean of an evening. But the hydrating, gentle effects of this one would be ideal for me in the mornings.

TLDR
This cleanser is super gentle and hydrating for the skin. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend it 100%. However, other cleansers can remove my makeup slightly better.

That’s all guys! I hope you enjoyed this post and/or found it useful. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Have you tried this Pai cleanser? Would you be tempted to try it?

Jazmin xx

I would also leave this one for the morning, because I feel like creamy cleansers just don’t deep clean the face and especially after day of wearing makeup, they are not enough. But for morning when you need extra hydration and soothing properties this one would be awesome. xx
