Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara | Review

Hey everyone!

How are you all? Today I wanted to review the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara. I recently received this in my Amazon Beauty Calendar, and it’s a mascara I’ve actually never tried before, and with it being so easily accessible here in the UK I thought it was worth reviewing it & sharing my thoughts with you all.

Overview & Claims
At £11.99, this mascara is on the pricey side of drugstore – as are the brand Max Factor on a whole. It won’t break the bank, but you can definitely find more affordable mascara’s.

Max Factor say that the brush captures and magnifies every single lash, whilst the zoom-action tip magnifies the lash fan to ‘epic proportions’. They claim that this mascara will provide bigger, bolder lashes no matter your lash type.

The applicator is quite unusual. The rounded tip is something I have seen many times before, and is something that I usually like to help fan out the lashes on the outer corner of my eyes, and to reach the very inner ones too! However, the brush itself looks a little like one of those bubble blowers when you pull it out of the tube, if anyone knows what I mean! It’s got a fat oval length ways that covers half of the wand, with normal quite short bristles on the other half.

Review
Having used Max Factor mascaras in the past and enjoying them, I did have fairly high hopes for this one and I was excited to receive the full size product in my calendar. Since then, I have been putting it to the test.

The applicator was a little tricky to use as it is quite fat, however if you’re careful you won’t get it everywhere, and after a few uses it’s really quite simple.
I like that the wand manages to reach every single little lash thanks to the tip. It’s easy to catch them all, and flair out the sides of your lashes with it.

I noticed straight away that this mascara separated my lashes really well, and was not clumpy at all! So if you’re massively against clumps, this mascara may well be for you.
It provided me with a good amount of length which was fab, and a fair but of volume too – I was pleased with the results.

A bonus with this mascara is that I found that it didn’t smudge onto my eyelids – which happens to me a lot. So that is a winner for me!

Overall, this mascara is a fab drugstore option if you’re wanting to try something new and want something that will separate your lashes nicely and give you nice length. I would definitely consider buying this mascara again in the future.

That’s all! Have you tried this before? Let me know your thoughts.

Jazmin xx

Max factor is one of those brands I never check out in drugstore. They are unfortunately really pricey here, so I’m never sure should I buy them. I have their cream puff blush which is really nice, but quite expensive. I’ll look for this mascara, hopefully it will be on sale so I can get it. xx

Ahhh it’s a shame that it’s pricey over there! It’s a little on the expensive side for drugstore here, but still alright. It’s a shame as it’s a good brand really 🙂 I also have a cream puff blush & it is a nice xx
