I hope you’re all almost sorted for Christmas now, because it has come around so soon! I want more time to enjoy the festive period before the big day, but luckily I’ve bought all my gifts and have them wrapped up already.
Since December 1st I’ve been opening my Amazon Beauty Calendar which my boyfriend kindly bought me. I have loved opening it every day and I have a couple of boxes still left to open. I thought I would share the first 12 items I got inside the calendar with you. If you’re interested to find out, just keep reading!
Day 1: Pai Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
I already wrote a whole post on this one, which you can read HERE if you’re interested, so I won’t go into too much detail. But I really liked using this mini cleanser as it’s something I haven’t used before. It was a really good one too and left my skin feeling soothed and clean.
Day 2: Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in Birthday Suit
This shade is something I would definitely pick out for myself so I was super happy to get this in box number 2! I haven’t tried Sleek lip products before, but this matte one was really good, the staying power is great and it isn’t too drying either.
Day 3: John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Agent Touch Up Creme
Again, another product I knew nothing about. I haven’t tried this one yet, as my hair is naturally really straight and thin which means it doesn’t exactly frizz. I’ll probably try this out on day 2 of tight curls!
Day 4: James Read Sleep Mask Tan for Face
I was really pleased to get this in the calendar! I’ve been meaning to get a face tan as I’ve been more into fake tanning lately and I usually don’t have anything to put on my face. I haven’t tried it yet, but next time I tan my body I’ll give this a go. If I like it, I’ll pick up the full size!
Day 5: Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara
This is another product which I’ve already got a full post on (HERE). However, I was happy to receive this one as I like the brand! It’s a really great mascara for day to day use.
Day 6: Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Matte Lipstick in Nude York
I was so happy to get this lipstick as I have another shade from this range which I love. They’re so comfortable to wear and look really pretty throughout the day as they even fade evenly. I love this shade, it’s perfect for every day.
Day 7: Eylure Exaggerate False Lashes
I have used Eylure lashes in the past, but not for ages now, so I’ll be interested to see what I think of these when I try them out! They look really pretty and fluffy. I’m hoping they’re not too dramatic for me.
Day 8: Love Beauty And Planet Conditioner
I’m intrigued by this one as I haven’t heard of the brand before. It sounds fab as it’s natural and vegan. If it’s good, I’ll definitely look into the brand more and try some more of their products.
Day 9: Sally Hansen Gel Rehab Treatment
This is one of my favourite items that I’ve got! After having false nails my real nails always feel so damaged, so it’s super handy to have something like this to help speed up the nail recovery. Sally Hansen is such a good brand too.
Day 10: Mini Wunder2 Super-Stay Eyeliner
I don’t use black eyeliner pencils all that often, but on the occasion that I do, I think this one could be good judging by the swatch. I didn’t have to press hard to get a fully opaque line.
Day 11: Real Techniques Mini Sculpting Brush
I have a few Real Techniques makeup brushes already and I think they’re such good quality, even though they haven’t been quite as hyped up in recent years. This one looks good, I’ll probably use it for blush or contour.
Day 12: Biore Deep Cleaning Pore Strips
I was excited to see these inside my calendar as so many people seem to love them! I have used pore strips many years ago and didn’t like them so much, however I haven’t used the Biore ones, so I am hoping I get better results with these.
As you can see, I’ve got some amazing things from the Amazon Beauty Calendar from the first 12 boxes – I’m very impressed! What do you think of the products? What things have you got in your beauty calendars if you have one this year? Leave a comment letting me know!
