Revolution x Soph Extra Spice Eye-shadow Palette | Review & Swatches

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all been well. I have a number of makeup products that I got over Christmas that I’ve been using a lot which I’d love to share my opinions on with you all. The Revolution x Soph Extra Spice palette is one I’ve wanted for a long time, since I love the original Revolution x Soph palette. My sister got me this one for my birthday and I’ve been using it loads since then. If you want to find out my thoughts on this, and see some swatches, then please keep reading!

Overview & Review
This palette costs you £10 which is amazing for an eye shadow palette consisting of 18 different shades!
The palette is mostly made up of matte shadows, but there are also 6 shimmer shades in there too. You can create a whole look with the palette.
I am already a fan of Revolution shadows so I wasn’t surprised when I loved these too. The quality is amazing – super pigmented and blend out easily. There is a little bit of fallout with some of the shades (notably ‘Lakes’) but nothing too crazy.
I would have liked to see a cream shade to use all over the lid in this palette as I have to reach for another one when using this. However, I suppose that is personal preference.

Swatches

Everyday, Running Late, Infinity, Cheesecake, Cookie Dough, Dreams

Vitamin C, Sweet N Sour, Twenty One, Romance, Enchanted, Lakes

Brownies, Chocolate Orange, Mulled Wine, LA Sun, Aurora, Reputation

As you can see from the pictures, the shadows are really pigmented and vibrant. Both mattes and shimmers are impressive. My favourites are ‘Cookie Dough’ & ‘Cheesecake’ for a perfect day time look. ‘Vitamin’ C is a stunning pigmented yellow which I needed in the collection for sure. ‘Everyday’ is lovely all over the lid and a go to when I want a quick eye look.

Here’s a simple look I wore using ‘Lakes’ in the crease and ‘Dreams’ on the lid

Overall I think this is a really nice palette which fits right into my collection. When this first released I didn’t purchase it as some of the shades are fairly similar to the first palette Sophdoesnails released with Revolution which I already had. However, I am so glad to have it now as there are some amazing brights in this one. For £10 you really can’t go wrong.

Have you got this palette? Would you be tempted to try it? Let me know in the comments below
