NYX Limited Edition Sweet Château Lip Lingerie | Review & Swatches

Today I wanted to share a review on the NYX limited edition Sweet Château lip lingerie lipsticks. I have the shades ‘Bottoms Off’ and ‘Corazon’ – both were gifted to me at Christmas. Since they are limited edition, I decided to get this review up before they completely sell out everywhere as you can still get your hands on them at various stores etc. For example, I saw a few on sale in Debenhams yesterday.

Overview
The Sweet Château lip lingerie come in three different shades: Bottoms Off & Corazon (the two I have) and also Deep Rooted. Bottoms Off is a peachy nude shade on me, whereas Corazon in a deeper rosy toned  nude/brown. Both colours are stunning and pair well with a variety of makeup looks.

NYX claim that these liquid lipsticks will go on ‘creamy smooth’ and cover ‘the curves of the lips’ and will provide a ‘luxurious matte finish.’

One of these will cost you $7, but they’re on offer for just $3.50 on the official NYX website. So if you’re in the USA, that is a complete steal!

Review
As I’ve already mentioned, the two shades I have are absolutely beautiful and both shades I would definitely wear. I have been reaching for them quite a bit. Bottoms Off is perfect to wear in the day for me, whilst Corazon has been making an appearance during the evenings.
The formula of these is interesting. When they first apply they feel quite thick and almost have a slight mousse like texture. However, once they dry down they don’t feel too thick and go completely matte. They are quite comfortable to wear, however after a few hours wear they do feel a bit drying. For me this is bearable, and I always have the option of completely removing it and reapplying should I choose too, since I always carry my lipstick choice of the day around with me in my handbag.
They last really well on the lips, only seeming to fade on the inner parts after eating. You can get away with eating light bites without the lipstick being affected too – which I think is great.
The applicator/wand is fantastic. It is long and thin but holds a very good amount of product. I am able to get a precise application due to the thinness and small tip.
These lipsticks are pretty affordable. Whenever I use products from NYX I seem to be impressed, so I am not shocked that I love these.
