Makeup Look Featuring Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Zodiac Palette

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally got my hands on the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights Zodiac palette! I’ve been wanting this for ages as I love Astrology & Kathleen lights. So of course when I found it brand new on Depop along with the Supernova Shadow in ‘Astrology’ (which is also part of the zodiac collection) I didn’t hesitate to order. I was super excited when it arrived, so I decided to get into it and have a little play around straight away. I love the look I created so I wanted to share it here on my blog.
This is also my first experience with Colourpop, and now I am even more gutted it’s not easy to get in the UK!

Step One – Base: I used my L’oreal Hydra Genius Moisturiser (£9.99) as a base rather than using a regular primer. I then used a mixture of Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless foundation (£12.99) and Too Faced Born This Way foundation (£29). I blended this out using my Real Techniques buffer brush.

Step Two – Eyes: As usual I used a Morphe angled brush to do my eyebrows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade (£19). . I set them in place using the L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper (£6.99). I applied Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (£3.99) with a Real Techniques flat foundation brush all over my eyelid as a base for eyeshadow. I quickly set my lids with a cream coloured shadow. Next I went into the Colourpop Zodiac Palette ($18). I first used a Morphe s12 to apply ‘The Virgo’ precisely into the crease of my eyelid, bringing it just over halfway, but leaving the section closest to my inner corner blank. Once I had built this shade up, I used a Morphe s27 brush to buff ‘The Taurus’ over the top of the deep brown shade to blend the edges. Next, with the same brush, I used ‘The Libra’ all along the edges of all the shadows to blend the shadows into my natural skin tone. Once I was happy that this was thoroughly blended, I picked the Morphe s12 back up and added ‘The Sagittarius’ into the crease where I had first applied ‘The Virgo’ shade. This brought a more purple tone into the eye look. Then using my finger I added ‘The Scorpio’ all over my lid. Once I was happy I added a bit more of ‘The Virgo’ onto the outer corner to deepen the look.
I used the Max Factor False Lash Epic mascara (£11.99) and then added the Eylure Exaggerate No.146 lashes (£5.26).
On my lower lash line I blended ‘The Sagittarius’ with a Morphe s11 and added a small amount of ‘The Virgo’ on the very edge.

Step Three – Finishing: As usual at the moment, I applied Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer (£24) under my eyes, down and around my nose and on the centre of my forehead using a Morphe s4 brush. I then set my face with the Max Factor Creme Puff Powder (£6.99) on a Morphe s15. I used the Rimmel Kate Moss Sculpting Palette (£6.99) to contour with a Wet n Wild Contour Brush. I used the same brush to bronze my face with the L’oreal Glam Bronze duo in Blonde Harmony (£10.99). I used a Real Techniques contour brush to add Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink (£8.99). I then went into the Makeup Revolution x Soph highlighter palette (£8) I used a Morphe s26 brush to add the lightest shade onto the high points of my face, including quite a lot on the inner corner of my eye.
Finally I applied Lime Crime Velvetines matte lipstick in the shade Buffy (£18) and added some Bourjois Velvet Rouge Don’t Pink Of It lipstick (£8.49) on top.
