Hi guys!
So January is finally over, and I’ve been loving a lot of things during the month and tried out quite a lot of new products. It was harder to condense my favourites down to just a few this January as I had a lot of potentials for the post – however the ones I have picked have been absolutely fab and are products I will be continuing to use well into February too.
NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation
So, I’m a little late to the bandwagon but I finally purchased the NYX foundation that so many people have been loving. And I have to say, it did not disappoint! I’ve wore it basically every day since buying. The coverage is great, and the shade range is one of the most impressive I’ve seen so I managed to get an exact match for my skin. I’d definitely suggest a glow/moisturising primer underneath it though. I may do a full review on this at some point if anyone is interested.
Bourjois Velvet Rouge Edition Lipstick in Nude York
This is the perfect every day nude lipstick and I’m so glad I got it in my Amazon Advent calendar at Christmas time. I’ve wore this a lot through January both in the day time and at night. It lasts really well and it super comfortable on the lips.
The Body Shop British Rose Eau De Toilette
I was given this in a gift set for Christmas and I’ve loved using it for day to day wear since. It smells quite strong of roses, and it’s not so artificial smelling like some rose sprays. British Rose is one of my favourite scents from The Body Shop so I’ve reached for this loads.
Wet N Wild Photofocus Concealer
I’ve been absolutely loving using this concealer! I don’t tend to use it under my eyes as the shade isn’t brightening enough for that, but for any blemishes or redness it’s perfect. It’s really creamy and blends out well, looking really smooth. I’ll definitely be purchasing it again when it’s ran out.
Avon Super Definition Black Liquid Liner
Avon isn’t a brand I use an awful lot of, mostly because it isn’t available to buy in Superdrug or Boots, however I was given this black liquid eyeliner and I really like it. The tip comes very thin at the end which makes for a precise application. It stays on the eye all day without smudging or crumbling. This is the liner I’ve been reaching for throughout January.
Revolution x Soph Extra Spice Eye-shadow Palette
If you’ve read my blog lately then you’ll probably already know I’ve been loving this palette as I posted a whole review about it (which you can see here if you haven’t already). It’s super pigmented and the shadows are gorgeous. It’s so versatile – perfect for day time or night time, so I’ve been using it a lot! It’s also sooo affordable so I’d definitely recommend picking it up if you haven’t already.
Great roundup! <3

Great recommendations! I have one of those Bourjois lipsticks too and you just reminded me of it, I really need to include it back into my makeup bag. The soph palette always looks so pretty too and I would love to read a full review on the NYX foundation ☺️
