Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara | Review

Hi everyone,

How have you all been? I hope you’re all looking forward to the Easter holidays & have something better than working planned unlike me. I can’t believe just how quickly Easter has come around this year. Today I wanted to review the Benefit BADgal Lash mascara which I’ve been testing out for a couple of weeks now. I hear a lot of hype over the BADgal Bang mascara, so I wanted to try out a different Benefit option. I have a lot of ‘clumpy’ (and I say that in a positive way) mascara’s in my collection, which sound similar to the BADgal Bang, so I was hoping this BADgal Lash would give me something a little different.

Overview
This mascara will set you back £20. For me, that’s quite expensive for a mascara as I have a lot of drugstore faves. However, I don’t mind splashing the extra money if the product is worth it!

Benefit say this is: ‘sexy, dramatic, pure unadulterated black mascara for full, voluminous lashes.’ And claim that the ‘big brush coats lashes with our thick black formula.’

The mascara wand is definitely a big thick bristle brush.

Review
When I first saw the wand I was pleased as I much prefer bristle brushes to plastic ones. They coat the lashes better in my opinion & make for a more full look providing lots of volume.
I think this mascara does give quite a lot of volume, for me it’s nothing crazy & I do have mascara’s that will give me more, however those others do clump. But this one manages to give volume, without clumping which I’m sure would be ideal for a lot of people.

I like how much length this mascara gives me & was quite surprised by it as it isn’t a mascara massively targeted towards length. This gives me a lovely fluttery effect which I really enjoy.
It lasts nicely & does hold a curl quite well, which is a huge bonus for me as my other faves don’t seem to do this.
I don’t personally like to wear this on my lower lashes as it does give a little smudging under my eyes throughout the day. It’s not terrible at all though & you could definitely get away with using it on those lower lashes.
Overall I really like this mascara & I’m glad I decided to try it. It’s probably one of my favourites in my collection at the minute & I will more than likely be repurchasing!

Have you tried this mascara out? Are you tempted too? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Jazmin xx

Oh my gosh I used to LOVE this mascara! I haven’t used it for years, but reading your thoughts brought back how I used to feel about it, it made my lashes super long too. Fingers crossed Benefit will become cruelty free this year so I can buy! Which are your favourite drugstore mascaras?

It’s a really great mascara! It’s so good for length. I love the Maybelline Lash sensational & the L’oreal Miss Manga ❤️

Ooh this sounds like a really lovely one. It looks great on you and I see what you mean by fluttery, it’s so pretty. I personally actually go for volume because my lashes are really fine but this is a great one for every day!

I never tried this one actually, but I love when mascaras don’t clump up. I hate the look of clumped lashes, so this one would be perfect for me. Great review. xx
