Revolution Reloaded Provocative Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend. Today on the blog I want to review one of the Revolution Reloaded palettes – Provocative. I bought this quite recently since it was only £4 and I’m a fan of Revolution shadows. This shade range of this one is completely up my street, so I couldn’t not pick it up. If you’d like to know my thoughts on this one and see some swatches, then keep reading!

Overview
As I mentioned this palette is super affordable at only £4 for 15 different shades. It has a mixture of both mattes & shimmers.

What Revolution say: ‘Offering incredible value with 15 generous pans of pigment, this versatile palette features a stunning mix of smooth and long-wearing shadows. Add warmth and dimension with seven silky shimmer finishes in glistening rose gold, dusky pink, aubergine and copper. For extra depth and intensity through the socket, dip into the matte brown and beige transition shades, or use a small pointed brush to create a smoked-out liner effect.’

Review
If you checked out my last post Date Night Makeup Look Using Affordable Makeup then you’ll know that I really have been enjoying this palette. I’m the kinda girl that can’t say no to pink & purple look, and if you’re the same then you’ll love this palette. The vast majority of these shadows are amazing quality; only 2 are ‘duds’ – the palest shimmer shade in the centre of the palette(8), and the palest cream shade(12). Both of these don’t provide the best colour pay off. However, I still do like the pale shimmer to add a nice wash of pale glitter. The mattes blend out really nicely into the crease without getting muddy. They’re super easy to use. I love that Revolution added a dark brown shade(2) in the palette to deepen up a look & it is one of the shades I use the most! The shimmers are amazing quality & feel super buttery – it’s important I note that 2 of the shades are the exact same, shade 7 & 15, however they are marked with a * on the back of the palette, I assume to indicate that they are in fact the same shade in 2 pans.  There isn’t a single shadow in here that I don’t use. I have already created some pretty looks with this. It isn’t super versatile as a lot of the shades are quite similar & the looks you can achieve are therefore going to be fairly similar, but I’m all for these kind of looks so I’m really glad I have this palette in my collection. Revolution continue to blow me away with their quality at such low prices.
The packaging is clearly where they have saved money as it’s super simple, but the shades speak for themselves & I’d rather keep the price low and have no mirror as I already have plenty.

Swatches

That’s everything for today! I really think this Revolution Reloaded palette is such a bargain for £4. You should definitely pick it up if you are into these kind of shades.

I recently got my first Makeup Revolution eye shadow palette, I’m still testing it out. So far I’m really impressed with shimmers, those are so smooth and pigmented. I really want to try more from them, they seem like such a great brand. Lovely review, shades in this palette are so pretty. xx

£4 is an absolute bargain, and I love the shades! I might have to go on a little search and see what else they do too!
