Hi everyone, well I’ve been a little M.I.A this week from the blog & I do apologise! I’ve been busy this week with work & birthday present shopping & other bits and bobs. Today though I’m back with a new foundation review & this time it’s an affordable one – The L’oreal Infallible Fresh Wear. I’m over half way through the bottle now so I thought it was about time I shared my thoughts on this one with you guys. So if you’re interested in this one, just keep reading.
Overview & Claims
The Infallible Fresh Wear foundation will set you back £10.99, which isn’t bad at all for a foundation if it performs! Of course, you can get cheaper ones from the drugstore too. And for that you get 30ml of product, which is average for a foundation. It comes in a glass bottle & a pump. The packaging is super basic & nice. For travelling I would prefer plastic, but I’ve actually never had a glass foundation bottle break whilst travelling.
L’oreal say that this is their most lightweight & breathable long wear foundation. They say the formula is ultra thin & will go on smoothly to give a fresh healthy looking complexion. The colour will stay true & remain looking fresh all day. L’oreal claim that this will give you a medium to full coverage & will suit all skin types. resists sweat, water & transfer.
Review
Considering I featured this in a monthly favourites a little bit ago, it’s probably no secret that I am a fan of this L’oreal foundation. Firstly, I managed to get a great shade for my skin tone in Rose Ivory which I’m super happy about as I do have quite a pink undertone to my skin. I love the way this makes my skin look, it seems to smooth out imperfections & blur them so nicely.
I have no problem getting a full coverage out of this as it’s super buildable, and I actually can achieve full without building up too much, which is ideal for me as I like a lot of coverage.
I like to use a damp beauty sponge to apply this as it seems to go on more flawlessly – using a brush can leave brush strokes on the face with this one, maybe because the formula is pretty thin. However, despite it being thin, the foundation doesn’t settle in my fine lines, which I was surprised with as thinner ones can do that to me a lot.
L’oreal do claim this will work for all skin types – my skin is normal to dry and it works really well for me, giving me a slight dewy finish but nothing too crazy. I’m unsure how well this one would work for oily skin as at the end of the day I sometimes have a little oil building up around my nose area which doesn’t happen to me very often, actually for me I quite like this as I think it makes me look healthy. Other than that slight oil, I love the way this wears. I would agree with L’oreal that this remains fresh looking all day, it doesn’t cake up or go patchy & the coverage is still great. If I put this on at 7am, it still looks good 10 hours later – usually my makeup doesn’t look quite as good after that amount of time.
Overall I am obsessed with this foundation, it is one of my most reached for at the moment & I can’t see that changing any time soon. For the price, I’d definitely recommend trying this one out.
Have you tried this foundation? Let me know your thoughts below!

I’m 73 & having been using this foundation for over 3 years. I apply over primer & finish with setting spray. It gives my skin good coverage with a dewy finish.

I always look forward to your foundation reviews as I know I can trust your opinion, as I think we have quite similar skin types and tones! This foundation seems amazing for the price and I love the fact it’s thin but full coverage. I’m always looking for that in a foundation x

It’s really good, I think you’d like it! X
I remember seeing so much hype around this when it launched and haven’t seen much about it since. This sounds like a great foundation, I love thinner formulas. They always seem to sit better on my skin. I think I’m going to look into this, I always struggle to find a match with drugstore foundations so hopefully they have one that works for me x

I had this foundation in old packing, I’m not sure did they change the formula, but I really liked the older version. I actually used up a full bottle of it, so I’m sure I’ll pick this new one soon, because I’m sure I would enjoy it. It looks so flawless on your skin, I hope it will work out great for me also. Lovely review. xx
