Well hello September! Today I am ready to share with you my August favourites, I have tried a number of new things lately & I can’t wait to share some of them with you in this post.
I hope you’re all getting excited for autumn like I am? I can’t wait for the colder months, sorry Summer lovers! I have a lot planned for this month including visiting Leeds, Bridlington, Chesterfield & The Lake District. It’s also my boyfriend Michael’s birthday at the end of the month, so I’m going to be very busy this September. Have you got anything planned?
Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation (£32)
I had heard so much good stuff about this Huda Foundation & watched a lot of YouTube videos about this (notably NikkieTutorials review), so I finally cracked & decided to order it online. I went with the shade Vanilla, which is actually just a hair too light, but it looks completely fine when I bronze up. Now I’m seriously in love with this foundation. It has a full coverage of dreams, a lovely natural velvety finish which stays looking flawless for hours. I like how healthy this looks on my skin despite the full coverage. Usually something this full would get a little cakey, but I don’t seem to get that with this one! I blend it out using a sponge & you don’t need much product at all. I know I’m going to be loving this one for a long time.
Joico K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock (£18.35 for full size)
I was actually gifted this & a couple other travel size products from Joico & I really like this Luster Lock hair treatment. It makes my hair feel lovely & smooth, but doesn’t weigh it down or make it look so shiny it’s almost greasy. I only have to leave it on my hair for a couple minutes too, so usually I just wash my hair with shampoo as normal, pop this on the lengths of my hair & leave it on whilst I shave my legs, then I rinse it off. If you’re looking for something to give you lovely smooth hair, then give this a go!
The Ordinary Argireline Solution 10% (£5.50)
I work at Boots and we recently started stocking this brand, so I picked up a few things from them to try out. The Argireline Solution has also been called ‘liquid botox’, of course it’s not actually botox and the results are not as dramatic as botox, but it definitely helps to smooth out the appearance of dynamic facial lines. I simply squeeze out a few drops of the liquid and pat it into the areas where I need it, like the forehead. Then follow with a moisturiser. I genuinely see a difference when I use this. I use it in the morning & it keeps my skin looking better under makeup & at £5.50 I can’t complain.
NYX Lip Liners (£3.50 – £4)I picked up a few lip liners from NYX recently as I didn’t have many lip liners in my collection. I got a couple of the Suede ones & a couple of their regular lip pencils. NYX have a great shade range & the price is very reasonable. I know some people don’t tend to like wooden pencils but it doesn’t bother me. I’ve found that these go on easily & stay on pretty well too. I’ll definitely pick up more colours as and when I need them. I have wore them all month long so they have definitely earned their place in my August favourites.
Being By Sanctuary Spa Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom Body Scrub (£9)
I bought this for a discounted price when I visited East Midlands Designer Outlet with a friend. I love a good body scrub and when I gave this a smell I was sold. The fruit scent is so delicious. This is actually a really great scrub which I’ve been enjoying using. It leaves my skin feeling super soft & smooth. It isn’t super harsh, but it isn’t too gentle either. I prefer scrubs in a tub which I can scoop out as opposed to the ones in tubes.
Mac Mini Lipstick in Twig (£10)
My friend actually got me this & a few other bits not long ago which was so nice of her. I had been saying to her that I love this lipstick as she has it herself. I love Mac lipsticks, they are still some of my favourites. They’re comfortable to wear, but stay on well too. This shade is so pretty & is right up my street, so I wore this a lot in August.
An honorary mention to my August Favourites is the the Fenty Instant Warmth Bronzer in Shady Biz which I have been loving so much this August to warm my skin up to look super bronzed & healthy in the sun. I love this bronzer so much & hugely recommend taking a look at the range. If you do want to know more about that product you can read my full review HERE.
& that’s everything for my August favourites. Have you tried any of these things?
Thanks for stopping by,
Jazmin xx
I need to try that hair mask! The packaging is gorgeous and it sounds like a fab proud – I’m sold. I’m also a huge fan of the Huda foundation. Like you said, the velvety, full coverage finish is absolutely gorgeous and definitely one of my fave foundations I’ve tried yet x

I love Sanctuary Spa but I’ve not come across their Cloudberry and Lychee Blossom range. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for it (although if it’s from an outlet maybe it already was discontinued 🙁 )

I checked online & it didn’t look at though it was discontinued thankfully! Hopefully you see it somewhere xx
I’ve tried the NYX liners and think they’re great for the price! I don’t know why people hate wooden ones so much. I need to try the liquid botox! x

Yes, they’re so affordable and they perform really well too!
Definitely try to liquid Botox if you can it’s amazing x
I’ve been looking for new lip liners and for some reason, I always thought that NYX liners would be a lot more expensive than £3-£4! I don’t mind pencil either so think I may have to check these out when I’m next in town.

I’ve heard such great things about Huda Beauty foundation! I’ve heard it’s really full coverage, I usually can never find my shade, so I’m curious about their shade range!
