NEW To My Collection | High End ‘Haul’

Hey everyone,

Today I want to share with you some high end products that are brand new to my collection. Some of which are new launches in the beauty industry. As I work for Boots, I get a beauty allowance every 3 months in order to try out some new things to help me better help customers regarding the products! It’s definitely a great work perk, but I want to be 100% transparent that I didn’t purchase these items. If you want to know my initial opinions on some popular products from premium brands then you’ve come to the right place.

Flatlay of high end makeup and skin care products new to my collection

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder in Butter (£24)
Fenty is a relatively new high end brand which I’m becoming more and more of a fan of (see my review on the Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer here). I decided to pick up the Fenty setting powder as I had heard many good things about how smooth it leaves your skin, and it definitely feels super soft to the touch & finely milled. I needed a new loose powder as the only one I had previously was a mini Too Faced Born This Way as for the longest time I skipped on loose powder. So far, I have been enjoying this one. It is smooth as I expected & doesn’t look powdery on the skin. I can’t say that this would be ideal for those of you with oily skin, as even for me with normal/dry skin I still had natural oils coming through after a while. For me, this is a huge positive, but I know it wouldn’t be for other people. I’m definitely happy to have this one in my collection. The packaging is beautiful, as always from Fenty & the powder isn’t super messy thanks to a cap that comes in the box.

BECCA Ultimate Lipstick Love in Sugar (£20)
I’m already a fan of these lipsticks. I have the shade Truffle already & I’m obsessed with the formula and colour. I get a lot of compliments on it & I seem to get a lot of customers asking me what it is whilst at work. That’s why I thought I’d pick up another shade so I have another one to wear to work. I went with sugar which is a light nude with a pink hint. I heard Maddison Miller on YouTube talking about this particular one too so I thought it would make a nice addition to my lipstick stash. However, I’m not 100% sold on the shade I picked which is a shame as the the formula is incredible. That’s not to say I don’t like this one, I just need to use a deeper lip pencil underneath to make this work well.

Benefit Roller Liner Eyeliner (£18.50)
Another high end product which is super popular, but brand new to my collection is the much talked about Roller Liner from Benefit. I have been needing a new liquid eyeliner for a little bit now as a few of mine ran out not long back & I’ve been making do with an Asda one or none at all. I used this liner on a customer at work and I loved how easy it was to apply & how black it was. I prefer felt tip liners as opposed to brush ones these days as I find them easier to control. So far I’m really impressed with this one! It hasn’t taken me very long at all to get used to it & it doesn’t smudge, flake or fade. Definitely would recommend this one.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (£27)
I’ve actually had a mini of this before & I absolutely loved it so I was super happy with the chance to add this to my collection. I decided to get the 200ml tube since I already know I like this cleanser. I’m not surprised it’s the number 1 cleanser in the UK. It leaves my skin feeling soft & clean without stripping it and making it tight. The scent is amazing too & really does make me feel like I’m in a spa! I already have a Liz Earle cloth, which is definitely a key component of this cleanser, so definitely go for the pack with the cloths if you’re going to purchase this.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Primer Soft Silk (£24)
My skin has been pretty dry lately & Fenty recently launched some new primers, so I thought this was the perfect time to try out the Soft Silk hydrating primer. I already love this primer & I’ve only used it for about a week. It smooths out my skin so nicely whilst also adding hydration & making my foundation look healthier & dewier. I can see this becoming a new favourite primer in my collection. If you have drier skin or just love that hydrated look, then definitely consider picking this up. It also smells amazing & looks super sleek in the glass bottle. Not ideal for travelling with, but you can always decant a little into a plastic container.

Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer in No.1 (£18.50)
This concealer is another new launch in high end makeup & I was definitely keen to try it as it’s the first liquid concealer from Benefit, something so many people have been wanting! I love a high coverage concealer & this one promises full coverage without the cake, in some pretty cute packaging too. This concealer isn’t super thick or creamy, but a little bit does go a long way & it covers up well. I have found that this concealer creases a bit, but I think I will get that with every concealer. It looks nice & smooth (minus the few creases) & doesn’t look thick & cakey as promised. I think this concealer is a winner, but I need to use it a bit more before I can say for certain. The shade range could be a bit of a downside as there are only 12. I have got the lightest shade which means people paler than me could struggle. With shade ranges such as Fenty’s on the market (who have 50 concealer shades), brands need to do better.

I love the shade of that BECCA lipstick, it’s gorgeous.
I love the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, but I use the Superdrug Naturally Radiant dupe because it’s so much cheaper haha. I wish I could afford the Liz Earle one though.
