Hey everyone, how have you all been? The weather here has been so horrendous – flooding is wrecking havoc! However, I decided to cheer myself up by purchasing this amazing Too Faced ‘Paint The World Pink’ set! It has 4 of Too Faced’s best selling products in there for a great price, so it’s an ideal way to try out some super popular products from the brand. I asked on Instagram if anyone wanted a first impressions / review of this one, and the results were 100% yes!
If you want to get your hands on the Paint The World Pink set then you are going to have to be quick as it is a limited set available exclusively at Boots.
In the set you receive a full size Hangover Primer (worth £26), a full size Better Than Sex Mascara (worth £22), a full size Melted Matte Lipstick in Child Star (worth £19) and a travel size Lip Injection Extreme Plumping Gloss (worth £12). All together the set is worth £79, but you can purchase is for an amazing £35, saving yourself £44! I could not say no to that value… I have wanted to try some of these products for a while, so this seemed like the perfect time to try out more from the brand Too Faced (a brand I am quickly falling in love with).
Hangover Primer: A hydrating & brightening primer for a dewy, healthy looking finish. Boosts skins radiance. Promotes skin elasticity, soothes the skin and creates a smooth base. Also infused with coconut water to hydrate & probiotic based ingredients for healthy skin.
Better Than Sex Mascara: Extreme volume mascara, creating more drama with every coat. Hourglass shaped brush to lift & coat every lash. Best selling mascara in America.
Melted Matte Lipstick: Glides on like a gloss, dries down to a ultra matte opaque finish. Infused with a ‘no sting’ lip plumper. Colour that always looks full, rich & kissable.
Lip Injection Extreme: Long term results. ‘Serum’ for lips that are full and pouty from very first application. Clear gloss with light reflecting shine & supreme moisture.
I can already say that this Paint The World Pink set is absolutely perfect for any makeup lover, and the value is just incredible. It would make a great gift, or a treat for yourself!
The Hangover primer is ideal for normal to dry skin. It adds that moisture allowing for a smooth foundation application on top. It is silicone free, which is amazing if you do like to avoid silicone, as many primers tend to have that ingredient. I found that my makeup sat really nicely and smoothly on this one. It doesn’t fill in pores, or massively extend makeup wear (although it feels slightly tacky on the skin which will help makeup adhere), but it does stop making looking dry/cakey and helps any foundation that likes to cling to drier patches. It definitely kept my makeup looking fresher and smoother all day, whereas with other primers I can definitely begin to look drier throughout the day if I am not careful! If like me, you love a hydrating primer, this one is such a great option, and the skin care benefits are such a bonus too!
Better Than Sex Mascara is something I have been keen to try for a while since it is super a popular one, and I haven’t met many people that don’t love it. My first impressions of this one are great; a couple coats gives amazing volume and leaves my lashes looking fluttery (which I love). My lashes look fuller with this mascara than other mascara’s I have used! For me, I have to be crazy about a high end mascara for it to beat my Maybelline Lash Sensational which is more affordable, but this one… just might. The Paint The World Pink set was the ideal way to try out this mascara, as now I can genuinely see myself repurchasing it without having to worry if it’s worth it. If you like full and voluminous lashes then give this a go. So far it hasn’t transferred or crumbled which I am impressed by, as so many non-waterproof mascaras do this.
I was slightly skeptical about the shade of Melted Matte Lipstick selected for the set. It is called ‘Child Star’ and it is a pretty light pink/nude. It isn’t a colour that everyone would love, and I did think it could wash me out, despite being a pinky nude kind of girl. However, it is actually so stunning on the lips, and paired with a slighty darker lip liner, it makes for the perfect every day shade for me. It reminds me a little of Lime Crime Velvetines in ‘Bleached’, which is one of my faves. The formula has massively impressed me. For a liquid lipstick it isn’t drying, which I was definitely expecting it to be. It goes on really thin, but opaque and quickly dries down. It doesn’t make the lips look or feel dry though, and it doesn’t crumble off like some other liquid lipsticks can. When I put this on for the first time, I got that really happy feeling you get when you buy something new and you end up loving it a lot. I think this is going to become one of my most worn, and I’ll definitely check out other shades!
I have used the original Lip Injection in the past, and honestly it hurt my lips quite a bit and it’s pretty intense. It does plump the lips nicely, making them appear fuller thanks to the chilli extract powder in there, but I rarely wore it because of that burning sensation. I thought I would absolutely hate this extreme version… I don’t know if I am crazy but I genuinely think this one is less painful & intense? I know that makes no sense at all, but the feeling didn’t last as long, and it just seemed more bearable. I would say the amount of plumping the extreme one does compared to the original is about the same, for me there wasn’t really a noticeable difference. As with the original version of Lip Injection, it is surprising how much moisture the gloss provides, usually glosses don’t add hydration so much, but I love that this one does! It’s perfect to wear on it’s own or over other lipsticks. I’ll definitely be continuing to use this, and I’ll consider purchasing the full size when I run out too.
For me, this Paint The World Pink set is such a winner. I am really enjoying every single product in here, and I think it’s an amazing way to showcase some of the best selling products from Too Faced. If you do want to purchase this one, act quickly, as like I said earlier this is available for a limited time only from Boots.
