Function Of Beauty – Personalised Hair Care | Review

Hey everyone, how has your week been? Everywhere is getting busier & busier now in the lead up to Christmas. I cannot wait! Today I am here with a review of the Function of Beauty shampoo & conditioner. These hair care products are personalised for your specific hair concerns which is super cool, and as soon as I heard about this company & what they do, I needed to try the products out! So if you’re interested to find out if Function of Beauty is worth the hype, just keep reading.

Overview
As I mentioned, Function of Beauty are a company which create personalised hair care products based on information you enter on the website.
You will be asked to describe your hair, and what your concerns & goals are. You are able to enter up to 5 hair goals that will be accounted for in the formula of the products.
For me, my hair is straight, fine & oily. And the things I chose to concentrate on as goals, were lengthening, oil control, strengthening & volumising.

You are also able to choose a fragrance & strength of that fragrance for your products, there are some really yummy scents – I chose Nude Peach. The colour is customisable too – mine is pink as you can tell! However, if you choose the hair goal ‘reduce brassiness’ you do have to have a purple colour to your products.

I decided to purchase the 16oz shampoo & 16oz conditioner for £39. You can get a smaller size 8oz for £29 too. Or you can buy individual bottles.
I didn’t choose any add on products, but you can purchase personalised hair masks, treatments and serums too.

I joined a scheme to be sent my chosen formulation of shampoo & conditioner every 6 months, which also entitled me to free shipping. You can choose to be sent your products every month, every 3 months, every 6 months, or just process it as a one time purchase.

Ingredients
The Function of Beauty products are cruelty free, vegan and paraben and sulfate free. The ingredient lists are extensive full of amazing sounding ingredients. For example my shampoo contains almond, vitamin e and algae, and my conditioner contains aloe vera, vitamin e, coconut, shea, pea, avocado, evening primrose, argan and rosemary. Of course, the ingredients differ from formula to formula based on which hair goals you selected.

Review
It took a few weeks to receive my order which is to be expected with personalised items, but it did come a bit quicker than it said it would online.
The order came in a box containing both bottles, 2 plastic pumps to attach (which I did straight away as I prefer pumps), a little information booklet & stickers. I haven’t used to stickers but they are a cute addition!

I have been using the Function of Beauty Shampoo & Conditioner for around a month now, and I still have plenty product left. The peach scent I chose is definitely a winner – it’s lovely and refreshing.
For each wash I use around 3-4 pumps of both products. The shampoo doesn’t lather up massively, which I have found to be the case with better quality more expensive hair care. But it leaves my hair feeling really clean. The conditioner is one of my favourite ever conditioners. I am able to apply it all over my hair rather than just the ends as it is non greasy but definitely moisturising. My hair is clean, fresh & silky smooth, without having no life to it. It still has volume despite the great amounts of hydration added.

Although this is pricey, I genuinely believe that this is worth the money as I have seen great benefits in my hair, which is amazing for someone with bleached hair! The conditioner particularly is perfect, my hair is super moisturised and healthy. I am impressed with the volume this has given me too, I generally have quite flat fine hair, but this has made me feel like I have more hair which I am made up with! I will look forward to being sent this again & will be sticking to my 6 month scheme (I might even up it to 3 months in the future).

I think Function of Beauty is worth the hype and you should try it out for yourself!

Hi have tried multiple personalized hair care products from multiple brand like, Bare Anatomy(https://bareanatomy.com/), Prose, Function of Beauty, and i find all of them working just fine for me. I would highly recommend everyone to switch to personalized hair care over regular products.

Function of Beauty is working just fine for me. No regrets
