Premium Beauty Haul

Hey everyone, welcome to another premium beauty haul! It’s that time again at work when I get my ‘beauty allocation’. If you don’t know, I work at Boots as a Beauty Specialist so every 3 months I get a certain amount of premium beauty products to try out so that I can be better informed to help customers! I have been sharing with you what items I get & my first impressions of them. So if you’re interested in hearing about some amazing products then keep reading.

Benefit Cookie Highlighter (£26)
This was the first product I chose as I have had my eye on this one for a while. It is a fairly new addition to Benefit cosmetics. I love the glow you can achieve from this. As you can see in the swatch, it isn’t glittery or chunky, it simply glides onto the skin looking & feeling creamy smooth. The shade is perfect for my fair skin as it never looks like a stripe of colour, instead it looks like a glow from within, but more intense! Some highlights can definitely emphasise texture, but this one doesn’t – it is a really thin consistency which helps it looks beautiful. You also get a little brush with this one, as you do with Benefit box products. The brush is actually pretty nice & does a good job! I don’t really use it much with this as I have other brushes I prefer… but it is good for on the go/travelling!

Becca Skin Love Glow Shield Prime & Set Mist (£22)
I loved the sound of this mist to use as a setting spray, and Becca make some amazing premium beauty products (such as their lipsticks which I am obsessed with). My skin leans more towards the dry side, so I felt this ‘glow shield’ would give me some extra dew if my makeup was looking a little dry. I haven’t used this to prime yet, and I don’t think I will, as I don’t tend to love spray primers. However, as a setting spray it’s lovely. As expected it gives me a little more glow and helps any powder products sink into the skin better. I can’t say it helps the longevity of my makeup, but that’s okay as I didn’t choose it for this reason.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting 2 in 1 Foundation (£28.50)
I wanted to pick up a new foundation in my premium beauty haul as they are probably my favourite thing to try out! They do take me a little longer to test out properly to form a full opinion, this little mini review is definitely just a first impressions! However, so far I think I do quite like this one! It has a medium to full coverage which is perfect for me with a natural finish – again ideal. It blends out nicely despite being rather thick, and doesn’t look heavy or cakey. I’m not a huge fan of the doe foot applicator as I prefer a pump or squeezy tube for a foundation, but if the product is good then I can make it work. It lasts well on the skin, but does get a little dewier throughout the day. I like this, but if you are oily you might not love that. The shade I got is 0.5 breeze and it is actually ever so slightly dark for me, but I can easily blend down my neck & highlight with another concealer. I will keep testing this one out, but so far so good.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Queen B (£19)
I have used the Melted Matte lipsticks from Too Faced before, very recently, as I received one in the Too Faced Paint The World Pink Set. I chose to get this one in the shade Queen B as a purple/mauve colour is right up my street! The formula of these lipsticks is such a good one – it is longwearing and matte without being ultra drying. Of course, matte liquid lipsticks are always a little dry so it is to be expected, but it’s nothing unbearable at all and is actually quickly becoming one of my favourite liquid matte formulas. It lasts all day without wearing off. I do touch up if I eat (unless it’s a little snack), but that’s fine by me. I love this one and definitely recommend!

Bumble and Bumble Glow Bond Building Styler (£25)
In my premium beauty allocation, I don’t usually choose hair care products, but this time I decided to pick something up from Bumble and Bumble as it is an amazing brand and I have almost ran out of my Kerastase heat protector. I chose this product as it will protect my hair from heat whilst also giving me that glow and healthy looking hair. I love this one so much, it makes my hair look & feel amazing and shiny. The honey in here makes me feel like I am treating my hair really well as it is such a good ingredient. I love taking more time on my hair recently so this was a good addition to my collection!

Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser (£23)
For ages now I have wanted to try out some Ole Henriksen as I had some training on the brand that made me love the products without even trying the full sizes! (I did try some samples). I chose this as I haven’t used a foaming cleanser in years, but I did have one previously that I loved. I find these kind of cleansers make the skin feel extra clean. This one doesn’t seem strip the skin despite the formula. It just leaves me with a super fresh face. It has vitamin C in here too which is definitely a wonder ingredient that brightens the skin. I have been loving this one so far – of course I haven’t been using it for long enough to give FINAL verdict, but I think I will write a full review of this one in a while.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator (£16.50)
I have always used a Nivea face exfoliator, but since I love the Cleanse & Polish cleanser from Liz Earle I thought it would be good to try out this gentle face scrub as I really do want to try something other than the Nivea one. As with cleanse & polish, this smells like a spa thanks to the eucalyptus. It has jojoba wax beads that gently exfoliate the skin before melting. I love that this isn’t too harsh on the skin as some scrubs can cause more damage than good. The cocoa butter really nourishes the skin too. My skin feels so smooth after using this and I love it. I definitely will be sticking with this scrub for a while.

That’s all for this premium beauty haul. I hope you have found this useful & perhaps found some new products that you’d like to try out for yourself. Have any of you already tried these? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading!

Jazmin xx

For me, absolutely nothing has ever compared well to the Liz Earle cleanser. It’s honestly the best thing for my skin and I love it SO much! I also adore the Too Faced Melted Liquid lipsticks! I lost mine ages ago so I really need to repurchase it.
