Hey everyone, wow I have been pretty absent on the blog lately and I am so sorry about that! Christmas planning and Christmas work schedule has definitely been taking up my time (I can’t believe it’s Christmas TOMORROW!). However, today I am wanting to share with you my review of the Too Faced Born This Way super coverage concealer – a product I have been meaning to review for quite some time now.
I purchased this months ago as so many friends love it – I was a little nervous as the Too Faced Born This Way foundation (which I reviewed on my blog a while ago) isn’t one of my favourites (although I love it to mix in with a matte foundation). But it turns out that this quickly has become my favourite concealer and something I will 100% repurchase time and time again.
Overview
The Born This Way super coverage concealer is marketed as as multi use product for concealing, highlighting, contouring and retouching. Too Faced claim this will give you a hydrated, photo ready complexion thanks to the maximum coverage and undetectable flawless finish.
This concealer has a diamond shaped doe foot applicator as you can see from the pictures.
Born This Way concealer is oil free and non-comedogenic.
Too Faced claim that the formula is weightless and hydrating so the skin is never dry or cakey, and is long wearing (12 hour wear). They also say this has no flash back.
This concealer is £25 for 15ml – so although it is a little pricey, you get much more product than you do with other concealers. I have mine in the shade ‘Snow’ which is a light shade with a yellow undertone to brighten.
Review
As I mentioned, I have been using this Born This Way concealer for months on an almost daily basis. It provides me with full coverage without looking dry or heavy, which is amazing! I have normal to dry skin so sometimes makeup products can look cakey or dry, OR can actually dry my skin out more. This concealer never does that.
I can suffer with under eye creasing and certain concealers make this a lot worse. The Born This Way concealer can crease on me a little, but it is not so bad and for someone who has been really self conscious about my under eye area, this one is such a dream! Whenever this does crease a little bit, I can easily tap this out with my finger to make it smooth again thanks to its natural (not matte) finish.
I completely agree with Too Faced that this is a long wearing concealer – it remains full coverage four hours and looks nice for a whole day. I do set this with the Too Faced Born This Way loose powder which likely does help it last! I like to pair the two Too Faced products together for a flawless finish as they work so nicely together. Side note: the Born This Way loose powder is a lovely option if you don’t want something too matte or drying.
Overall I am so obsessed with the Born This Way concealer and would really recommend you pick this up if you love a full coverage concealer. I am going to be repurchasing, and also might pick another shade up to contour with!
Have you tried this concealer? Let me know!
I hope you all have an amazing Christmas.
