Hey everyone, I hope wherever you are you are staying safe, happy and healthy. With so much going on right now, I think a lot of us are experiencing some real anxiety – I hope that this post can take your mind elsewhere for a while! Today I am going to review some products that I was kindly sent a while ago from ARK skincare. When the brand reached out to me I hadn’t heard of them before, but after them explaining more about their products I was super excited to give them a go. I have been using all these things for almost a month now so it’s time to share my thoughts!
Brand Overview
ARK skincare is a British skincare brand that use natural ingredients including antioxidants, lipids and vitamins. All their products are free from parabens, SLS, mineral oil, alcohol, formaldehyde, artificial colours and fragrances. Instead the brand use amazing skin beneficial ingredients (as you will see in the product overviews).
ARK skincare focus on creating different products for the different age ranges. Their three main ranges are ‘Protect’ for teens and 20’s (which I got to try a couple items from), ‘Defend’ for 30s and 40s, and ‘Defy’ for over 50s. Each range also has ‘skinperfectors’ to target any specific concerns you may have, and ‘skinessentials’ for every day use.
Product Overview
I received four products from the brand to try. All are Vegan friendly.
Firstly, I got the AgeProtect Skin Clear Cleanser. ARK skincare say this soap free cleanser balances oils and dryness for clear comfortable skin. This cleanser contains watercress, nettle and horsetail to reduce excess oil; oat amino acids to wash away impurities; and white tea to protect skin from free radicals.
I also got the AgeProtect Skin Vitality Moisturiser. This one offers a perfect amount of hydration for younger skin. Protecting against the urban environment. It will leave skin clear, radiant and vibrant. It contains avocado and peach lipids (rich in vitamin A, C and E) as well as Omega 9 to keep skin hydrated and soft. Olive oil penetrates deeper to regenerate skin cells. Panthenol (vitamin B) soothes irritation and and plumps fine lines.
For that little extra skin boost I was sent the SkinPerfector Hydration Injection Masque. This is a multivitamin hydrating mask to quench skin, plump wrinkles and restore vibrancy. Ideal for tired skin that is stressed and lacking radiance. Vitamin A regulates collagen production, Vitamin B5 smoothes skin, Vitamin C fades any pigmentation and Vitamin E acts as an anti inflammatory. Hyaluronic acid adds moisture. Sugar Beet and Abyssinian Oil nourishes skin.
Finally I was also sent the SkinEssential SPF 30 Primer. You can use this product as a moisturiser or primer. It ensures a luminous and smooth base which lets makeup glide on effortlessly. Protects against the sun and offers skin a healthy glow. Contains vitamin E for anti-oxidant support, shea butter to nourish skin and sunflower which is packed with vitamins and minerals.
Review
Firstly I want to say that the packaging of the ARK skincare products are lovely – they all look sleek whilst also being practical. I particularly love the moisturiser as it has a press down lid which dispenses just enough moisturiser so you don’t have to dig your fingers into a pot (which can be quite unhygienic).
I first use the AgeProtect cleanser on damp skin as instructed. The gel formula lathers up despite it being soap free, so it really feels like your skin is being deeply cleansed. After rinsing I don’t notice my skin feeling tight which can sometimes be the case with gel cleansers.
After applying serums and/or toners from other brands, I go in with the AgeProtect moisturiser. I feel that this moisturiser offers a perfect balance of hydration. It isn’t too thick and greasy (which I worry can clog the pores), but it also is substantial enough that the skin does feel hydrated. It soaks in very quickly.
I use both of these products daily and with prolonged use my skin is clear, fresh and smooth. I think using products that are full of wonderful ingredients and none of the harmful ones has really benefitted my skin. It is definitely less dry and tight, and redness is reduced. Of course, I am also using other products along with these that are obviously suiting my skin well too, but my skin is honestly the best it has ever been!
Once or Twice a week I have been using the SkinPerfector Hydration Masque. My skin has always been a bit more on the dry side, so I definitely like to use hydrating products, including masks to give me the extra boost I need. This one feels so nice and cooling on the skin, it really calms the skin down and I can see this one being amazing for anyone with irritated skin. Once removed my skin is so soft and plush! I think it’s harder to find great hydrating masks than the pore cleansing ones – I am so pleased that I now have this in my skincare collection.
Although I haven’t used the SkinEssential SPF30 Primer every single day as I like to switch my makeup up often, I have been using it pretty frequently. For me, a moisturising primer like this is ideal! I like a dewy luminous base and this provides just that. I also love the fact that this has a great level of SPF protection and it’s going to be my go to in warmer weather for that reason. If you have very oily skin and love a matte finish, this one may not be for you, although you could add a pore filling primer on top and set with a good matte powder. Makeup truly glides on effortlessly on top of this and my skin looks healthy even with a heavy foundation.
Overall I am absolutely loving ARK skincare – I mostly love their focus on using incredible ingredients that will only benefit the skin and do no harm. I love using all these products and can really tell that my skin is loving me for my current skincare routine.
Are you interested in trying out any of these products, or perhaps looking at something from ARK skincare that would better suit your skin type/age? Let me know your thoughts!

So glad you’re loving them, the products sound really great. I need to try that hydrating mask because I use stuff like that all the time and could do with discovering a new one. Love the list of things they don’t include too, alcohol is my biggest dealbreaker in skincare! x

Hi ,is the Ark primer any good under foundation, I have oily skin which causes shine throughout the day ,will this product make is worse ,as it contains oils ,thanks

It isn’t a mattfying primer, so it isn’t going to be ideal for keeping oils at bay. However, it’s amazing to use because of the SPF which is very important. If you’re oily I’d suggest using this as a moisturiser (as its a primer AND moisturiser), let it soak in, then go in with a mattifying primer x
