Clinique Even Better Glow Foundation | Review

Hey everyone, well; I guess here we are in Lockdown for at least another 3 weeks. It’s crazy! I hope you’re all coping okay with it all and staying safe. Lets hope we can go back to some kind of normal in not TOO long. I’ve been meaning to speak about the Clinique Even Better Glow foundation in more depth for a while now (since mentioning in it in my New To My Collection | Makeup post), and I am finally getting round to it!

Clinique claim that their Even Better Glow ‘Light Reflecting Makeup’ works for all skin types, will even out tone in a natural way and add glow and natural radiance. They say that the lightweight fluid gives skin a luminous finish.

Even Better Glow contains Vitamin C and E to create a brighter, even looking skin tone. It also contains SPF 15.

‘Stay true pigments won’t change colour on your skin, for flawless, undetectable coverage. Non streaking, non setting… sweat and humidity resistant.’

30ml will cost you £28.50 which I think is a reasonable price for a high end brand such as Clinique.

The packaging is quite unusual for a foundation – it is an oval shape squeezy bottle. I like this since the foundation is thin in consistency, so I think it works better with a squeezy bottle than a pump in this instance. It also comes in a box detailed with the usual Clinique pattern.

The shade range isn’t amazing unfortunately, I luckily found a decent match for myself.

Before applying concealer & powder products.

I first tried the Even Better Glow foundation from Clinique a while ago now; I was given a sample after my friend recommended it. Even though I wasn’t expecting too, I really liked it, so I decided to choose it in my next makeup allocation from work (I work at Boots).
The reason I wasn’t really expecting to fall in love with Even Better Glow is that I usually a prefer something full coverage and thick. This foundation is a light to medium cover, and thin.
I like to apply this with a buffer brush, using a sponge soaks up too much of the product. It doesn’t streak and it is super easy to build and layer up.
This achieves a medium coverage very easily, it actually provides way more coverage than I expected! I like to pair it with a full coverage concealer (usually Too Faced Born This Way). I love how flawless my skin looks with this foundation on, it really evens the tone and doesn’t cling or emphasise any texture at all. It gives a lovely luminous dewy finish, which is ideal for me.
I definitely have to set this foundation, particularly if the weather is hot, but so long as I set it, it stays looking nice a long time, a luminous glow still able to peak through. I can get a full days wear out of this before it starts to fade.
It feels so lightweight and comfortable to wear, which is why I am loving it for Spring/Summer.

If you struggle finding a foundation that works well on dry skin, that won’t cling to patches, or look matte and flat, then I really recommend Clinique Even Better Glow. I am shocked at how much I love this! Surprisingly, I prefer this to Clinique’s full coverage foundation – Beyond Perfecting (which I actually quite like too).

Overall, I adore this foundation! Have you tried this?

Thanks for stopping by!

Jazmin xx

I like a light and natural foundation and you’ve convinced me to try this, when we can eventually get back into the shops!

This sounds so great and kind of what I’d need at the momet but I can’t find a shade in their range to save my life. They are either too grey or too orange

It’s such a lovely foundation! That’s such a nightmare. The shade range could definitely be better… the one I have is a bit too dark for me if I’m honest but I can make it work x

Im really skeptical with spending loads on a foundation after i spent around the same on the charlotte tilbury magic foundation and hated it! But this does look super flawless, very intrigued by the shape of the bottle haha!

Oh no, I haven’t tried the Charlotte Tilbury foundation, but there’s nothing worse than spending lots on a product and being let down by it. This one I really love! Maybe see if you can try a sample from Boots or Debenhams when the shops re-open before purchasing xx

This is my second day wearing it & it is a natural look. I’m used to more coverage but it covers redness & evens out complexion. I was tired of dried out matte look & this certainly isn’t that.

It just looks so healthy on the skin right? I love it for that!
